Hi. I'm new to the team. I just bought my Nutribullet 3 days ago. So far, I'm loving it! This team doesn't seem too active. Is anyone still here even?

I need ideas for smoothies, and veggie/green drinks that are good for the thyroid impaired crowd. I no longer have one. I want to be sure what I make doesn't counteract my thyroid replacement meds.

That's about it for now. I hope to learn a lot here as I go back through previous topics.

Hi! I'm Laurie and I just got a nutribullet. I love it!! I have burnt out 2 of those cheapy single-serve blenders bought at Walmart and realized that i needed more power. Since I make a shake every morning for breakfast, my bf bought me the nutri-bullet and since he doesn't mess around, bought the 900. I love it and so does he. He's never made a smoothie and now it's become our healthy "dessert". I'm so impressed.

Hello! I'm Yvonne and I just got my Nutribullet yesterday. Have been Reading the manual before I go shopping, and knew there had to be a Spark team for this! I have high colesterol and the Dr. wants me to have 6/8 servings of veggies/fruit. Hard for me to get that all in, but I think using the NB will be helpful :)

Have a great Labor Day!

I have had my Nutribullet for a while but don't use it like I should. I do make protein shakes in it and things like that. I am eating healthier now and will start using Nutribullet more. Looking for great recipes.

Hi! I'm new here and I had originally searched to see if I could find any good recipes and I stumbled across this team. Even better!

My nutri-bullet is on order and I pick it up in a couple days, but thought I would get a head start by joining the team now and reviewing the message boards and community posts.

I am so excited to get mine. My sister has one and she said it has changed her life. I am aiming to have a nutri blast for breakfast and lunch, and a full, healthy meal for dinner.

If anyone does have any recipes to share, let me know!

Hi, Newbie here to the Nutri-bullet but not to juicing. Three years ago I brought a traditional juicer but after a month I stopped. The clean up process every morning was just to long. I have had my nutribullet for six days now and have 1 - 2 nutriblasts every day. I can definitely do this for the rest of my life.

Hi everyone. Newbie here. emoticon
It took me a while to decide between juicing and blending, which one was best. but then i saw an add for the nutribullet. well that settled it.
Mine has just arrived. so i browsed through sparks articles to see if i could find anything on the best way to use it, and i came across this team, so here i am.
Happy Extracting! emoticon

I just got mine and love it. I'll probably only use it for breakfast, but it works great and is SO easy to clean. I wonder if I can use it to make cauliflower mashed potatoes?

So true they aren't always pretty, and I find I have to keep "swirling" them so I don't have just all thick stuff and then just liquid alone, to drink, when having them, but the energy I get from smoothies makes them so worth it!

I agree, some smoothies are not that pretty! I found that when berries are added with greens then the color tends to run on the ugly brownish side. Thank goodness they still taste good emoticon My hubby won't even try any of the smoothies. My daughter will drink them only if I don't add seeds to it. (I do add ground flax seed, shhhhh that's a secret. lol)

Hi, I just found this team and joined. I have a nutribullet, and use it pretty regularly. I too seem to always start with a handful of spinach, and whatever else I have on hand. Sometimes they are pretty pink, and other times they are nasty green looking. I was sharing one with my husband one day and he said it looked like what had accumulated on his tires with the bad weather.....instead of a mud slide he called it a mud flap. But they usually always taste delicious!

I love the smooth texture too! I bought my Nutri-bullet thinking I probably wouldn't like it but I LOVE it!! I sometimes have 2 a day, breakfast & dinner. It depends on if I exercise in the evening. I can't eat a big meal and go to bed soon after so a smoothie fits in great there.

Hi! Started with one at breakfast, but have added one at lunch this week! I feel like I have so much more energy drinking two a day (tall).

I was worried about it at first, as I have not had success with liking blender smoothies. But I love the smooth texture it creates :)

I'm from the UK and bought my nutri bullet today. The sparkcoach exercise for today was to list 5 things you wanted - two of mine were to get healthy, and in addition to getting active (exercise wise), to get mobile (am a wheelchair experiencing transport problems at the moment). So I booked a taxi and went and bought my nutri bullet emoticon

Not being a patient person, I had to try it out straight away and started with a mix of spinach and blue berries. Not the greatest of colours, but the mix was OK. I am not a great lover of veg and fruit (fruit in particular), so was pleased that I was able to consume a reasonable amount of fruit and veg so easily. I have digestive problems so I am hoping that the nutri bullet will help with that (although probably not drinking the entire [large jug] of my first mix was a bit rash emoticon ).

I'm looking forward to getting to know folk, hear about their experiences of nutri-bullet and to share experiences and recipes etc.

Success is inevitable

I'm Lisa and I'm from Eastern PA. I don't know a lot about the NutriBullet, but I'm going to learn! I bought mine 2 days ago and bought some fruits & veggies today so I can try it out tomorrow. I love fruits & veggies, but I've never juices before. I have digestive issues, so I am hoping this aides in me feeling better. Looking forward to this new way of eating healthier with you all! emoticon

Hi all!

I'm Yukon Chick, and I live in the Yukon, Canada. Up beside Alaska in the sub-Arctic.

I just bought my NutriBullet yesterday after wanting one for over a year....It was a lot of money for me to spend on myself, but I bit the bullet (haha) and convinced myself that I would get some use out of this.

I did grocery shopping today and got many of the items mentioned in the recipes in the booklet and on the NutriBullet Blog website.

I'm not a salad person, so I'm convinced I will consume more fruit and veggies if made into a drink.

I do have weight to lose, and I'm 60 yrs. old so my metabolism is sluggish, to say the least.

Anyway...I'm glad I found the group, and I look forward to getting to know many of you as we learn this together1

Hello my Name is Sheila, and I have just Joined! I do not have much money, but I am going to buy myself a Nutribullet for Christmas! I have been a PreDiabetic for years, and when I eat many things I can feel my insulin level rise! I would like to lose weight, but I would like to know if I can use it for Meal Replacement and not feel shakey and hungry all the time. I would like to use Yogurt, Protein Powder, Oatmeal and Nuts besides the Vegetables and Fruits too! Could anyone please offer any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi! I am tired of feeling tired, I had been juicing but hated the cleanup and the waste, my FB friends saw my juicing recipes and asked if I'd heard of the nurtibullet. I have had mine for about a month now and love it! Some of my boosts are chia seeds, flax and sunflower seeds. I love playing with different ingredients and probably have not had the same drink twice...although I always start with a handful of spinich. I have yo yo'd for the past few years playing with 20 lbs. Not liking that or the way I feel with the extra weight on. With winter here, and it is now too dark to walk where I live after getting home from work, I joined a gym because I love group fitness classes. I am really optimistic about these changes I'm making. Any advice on weight loss with the nutribullet? Thanks

Kristen

My daughter does not like veggies either and makes her smoothie with the V-8 infusion juice or the Tropicana Farmstand. My mom started making them too at her house because its such a great way to get better nutrition.

I made them for my niece & nephew, frozen fruit, a banana with almond milk and they were so excited, they loved them.

I just got my NB 900 at Kohls last night. I made a drink this morning and loved it. I had started making smoothies last week and these are definately different. I intend to have one for breakfast and at night for supper. I have got to do something about my weight. I also believe my grandkids will like them too and they don't eat any vegetables. But the like the V-8 fusion drinks and these have a similar taste. I am looking forward to the journey with my NB. I am usually so tired. I have high blood pressure, my thyroid is off. I am about to be 64 and don't want to be unhealthy anymore.

I have tried a lot of different ways to make a healthy smoothie. My favorite one I drink every day is one I made up. I fill up the big cup with half kale, I pack it it, its probably a cup and a half, one banana, a scoop of whey isolate unflavored protein, then I put in frozen fruit, the bag from Costco calls festival blend with the strawberries, mango, papaya and pineapple is my favorite, but I will use frozen strawberries, blueberries or raspberry if I'm out of that bag. I maybe use a cup of frozen fruit? Then I either use some almond milk (unsweetened is the best) and spring water for liquid, probably a cup? Its all eyeballed because the frozen strawberries are pretty big sometimes and depending on the size of the banana too so I just do half the cup kale, the rest frozen fruit and always the banana. I have heard avocado can be used instead of the banana and I have not tried it yet.

I absolutely LOVE this drink, I will sometimes drink it for dinner if I am not hungry for a big meal. I will fill me up until late afternoon due to the protein powder and kale. I have tried spinach, watercress and other leafy greens but I do best on the kale so I'm sticking with it.

Hi, my name is Donna. I was pleased to see this team. I have been with SP off and on for quite awhile. This summer I tried juicing. The pulp separation was not a big issue for me because when I juiced all veggies, I froze the pulp to add to soups. When I juiced all fruit I froze the pulp to add to smoothies. I just did not care for the cleanup afterwards.

One of my coworkers brought his blast into work and we talked about how the NB works. This summer I bought a Ninja blender because it was suppose to be able to break down the kale or spinach. I did not feel it did a very good job, so I ordered the NB.

It arrived on Monday and Tuesday I made my first blast. I was really not impressed with the texture. It was like drinking watered down applesauce. I went to their website and there was a suggestion to add avocado or banana to each one to make it creamy. I have had 2 more since and like the consistency much better.

I am planning on having a blast for breakfast and dinner, with a large salad (Kale, red cabbage, carrots, tomato, red onion, and beans) for lunch. I will weigh myself for the first time in quite a few months in the morning and see if this helps to lose weight.

Any ideas, suggestions would be welcome.

I ended up buying the Nutri Bullet because the 6 other blenders I tried in the past 2 months were terrible and I was tired of returning blenders to the store!

I started eating Primal in August (no grains) and am using a whey isolate protein powder to make sure I get enough protein to start my day so I began making veggie/fruit smoothies. I brought the NB on sale at JC Penny and I absolutely LOVE it. I have a disability and my left hand is not fully functional. All the other blenders I tried were really difficult because I would have to practically get them in a head lock to hold down and twist the cup off. NB is one handed operation, no overflows because the cup is so big and everything gets chopped up perfectly!

Just wanted to stop in on this board and say "Hello!" to all of the new group members. I have just received word today from PinkSoldier who is the group leader and needed help. I'll be stepping up and helping lead the team, so I hope to be on here more frequently. At this point it will be a minimum of two times per week to stop in and greet people and keep things going!

Hope you're all doing well and enjoying some fabulous NB treats! emoticon

I am a Nutribullet user. So glad there is a team for us. Looking forward to sharing recipes with you. The other day I purchased the Nutribullet Superfood Superboost package. It is a blend of 4 top superfoods: Chia, Gogi, Cacao, and Maca. So far I am please with the way it makes me feel. I mix it with my banana, kale, berries, flaxseed, and almond milk blast.

Hi! I'm Laurie. Ordered my NB off Amazon, and it got to me in 3 days--wow! God must be telling me I need to start NOW.

I celebrate my 55th birthday on Sunday, and today I realized I am "officially" 100 lbs overweight. OMG. Never thought I'd be here... I've been on SP for 4 or 5 years, and I've stuck with it for a few months from time to time but never made it to goal. I *HAVE* to make some positive changes. My cholesterol is also high for the first time in my life.

Anyway, tonight I made my first NB (as soon as I opened the box, ha ha!) Just used what I had available, which wasn't much--2 C spinach, 1 stalk celery, 1/2 C blueberries that I picked this morning, and about 8-10 walnuts. YUM!! I was amazed at how smooth it came out; it really does work as advertised. I think the walnuts made it taste a lot better than it would have if I'd left them out. I don't think I'll use celery again cuz I don't like the taste of it, unless I can disguise it with some stronger fruit.

I also have some flax seed and some chia seeds around here somewhere, but I didn't put them in tonight. I'll try to get more organized tomorrow and do that.

I'm hoping to do 3 or 4 drinks a day, plus maybe like someone else said, a boiled egg for breakfast and a piece of chicken or something at dinner.

Wish me luck--I have a LOT of weight to lose, and I'm so tired of feeling so old and tired!!

Laurie

Hi all, I'm new to the team but I've been using NB for a while now. Posted way too long a post giving my recipe. ;)
Hope to get some new ideas here and maybe offer a few.

Started July 12th.

I purchased my nutria-bullet from walmart.com. I use it 3 times a day, sometimes 4. I use the blast as a meal replacement, kind of like a 30 day juice fast, but with eating raw fruits & veggies for snacks, having 1 boiled egg with my breakfast blast, and a lean pc of meat/fish with my dinner blast. The reason I add the egg & meat/fish, is to get my B12 in naturally.

However, as of August 1st, I may turn to the full juice fast, and just take a B12 supplement.

I love all the blasts' I've made so far. My base is mostly spinach & kale, and I usually add 2 types of fruit, (berries, cherries, apples, pears, pinapple, plums, grapes, etc.) I use 1/2 water & 1/2 organic orange or apple juice, to the max line. I found that using only water made them a little bland. I pretty much always throw in a couple of squares of fresh pineapple to all my blast for flavor. I use nuts & seeds for my boost.

This morning I used spring greens, instead of the spinach & kale base, and I didn't like it nearly as much. I think I'll save those greens for salads. :-)

Hello I am relatively new to the nutribullet, but so far I really love it. I am still experimenting with recipes and so far have not tried kale. I usually use spinach, banana, berries and flax seed. Has anyone tried using carrots?

I have had my nutri bullet for a few weeks now, and I really like it. A co worker of mine is doing juicing, and I like the idea but the cost of a good juicer and the time involved made it not for me. I decided to try this instead. My blasts are mostly what I have on hand at the time. I try to get both vegetables and fruit in all of them and buy organic if I can. I also include nuts and seeds such as flax seeds each time. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else is doing with theirs.

Hi!
I just discovered this team late tonight. Tomorrow I will have to read the posts to learn more about other NB users experiences!
I just bought my NB last week. Everyday I have made a blast and for the most part have liked them.
I have some questions that I hope I find answers for on the posts!

Looking forward to being a part of this group!

Sometimes it is bland...I have a protein powder that is "chocolate" and it makes it taste like a chocolate banana...sometimes, I will add cinnamon to my blast if it doesn't have enough flavor or flavor I'm not fond of. My husband and I love, love, love our NutriBlast and we use it every single day. Even my eight year old likes to think of new things to mix together. Good luck!

Hi, I just got my Nutri-Bullet in the mail yesterday, and I am so excited to start trying different drinks. I made a drink with kale yesterday and dumped it - it was terrible. I also found that when making a drink (1 banana / 5 strawberries / water) it really hasn't got much flavor. Is there anything that you all know to do to get good flavor as well as good nutrition? Thanks!

I've read about people doing it for both breakfast and dinner. I don't think there is an advantage. I have to be at work early in the morning so I don't have much time to make a good breakfast which is why I drink mine for breakfast. I had a bad habit of stopping and getting some kind of fattening coffee drink or fast food. Now I can sip my breakfast while driving to work! I don't see why you couldn't use it for dinner!

Hi, I have been researching the nutribullet and went out yesterday to buy one, unfortunately, the stores in my area were closed for Easter so will be buying one tonight. I have one question - all the blogs and recipes I have seen are about using the drinks for breakfast, however, I wanted this to make drinks for dinner. Is there an advantage of using the nutribullet for breakfast over dinner?

I arrive home so late for work, but I'm hungry, so am looking for healthy, filling options and thought the nutribullet might be the answer.

Thanks!

Hi all,
I just looked up nutri-bullet to see if there was a team who used it and here you are! Cool.
I've been using nutri-bullet for about four months now, I believe. I tend to use it for breakfast, or for right after exercise. I usually add brown rice powder protein to the ingredients. :)

I'm not sure, Pam, but I think you just add chia seeds as is. I do know that whole flax seeds must be ground in order to reap the full health benefits.

Maybe you just needed to blend a little longer.

Thanks! I used the nutria-bullet this morning. I mixed up what I had around and it could have used a banana. The chia seeds didn't mix very well. Do you mill them first? Any tips on the seeds? thanks!

Now I've had the NB several weeks. I try to make it for breakfast each morning but I've missed a few. My drinks are never the same, still. But I have a formula:
1/2 container of greens, usually kale
several fruits, whatever I have on hand. I like frozen berries as they make the drink cold, but ice would do. I try to use raw fruit as it's healthier. I bought a pineapple this week...can't wait to try that. Also bought a mango. I have used oranges, lemons, apples, pears, bananas, kiwis.
Then I always add inulin (fiber), chia or flax seeds and almond butter for protein. Sometimes nuts. It's always good as long as I have one super sweet fruit in it like a banana or pineapple.

Blessings & Hugs,
--Maya

I bought my NB about two weeks ago. I tried my first smoothie today. It
wasn't too bad. I can't remember where I got the recipe, but I tried it. It
was delicious, but I drank it. The recipe was a large one, so I had to
reduce each food & water as best as I was able, to make equal amts.
of each. The ingredients were kale, white beans, 1/ 2 banana, blueberries,
strawberries and water. When I make this again, I intend to make it
with vegetable broth to give it a better taste.

I too, am hoping to see some good recipes here and I will try the recipes
in NB book.

Hi, I got my NB a week ago. Still totally experimenting with concoctions. Rather than using formal recipes, I tend to concoct whatever I intuitively feel I should put in, or what I have around. I have never made the same drink twice. The only drink I didn't like was when I tried an avocado instead of a banana (as they suggest) for "smoothness". That was yuk...I couldn't drink it, much as I love avocados. I am still working on concocting the ultimate smoothie, so I look forward to hearing about what drinks you-all come up with.

Blessings & Hugs,

Hi, I'm Carol and I'm from Michigan. Just got my NutriBullet yesterday and have used it twice. I really love it. I look forward to the different combinations of drinks I can make with this machine. I'm hoping drinking whole raw fruits and veggies will lead me to weight loss and relief from chronic pain (sciatica). I'm glad to see this group is here, hope it gets bigger!

Hi! My name is Brenda. I just ordered my Nutribullet on Tuesday and got it yesterday! I was amazed! I too have been on spark for a long time. However, the last 5 years my hubby has cancer and it is now at a stage 4 so....I am finding it harder to eat healthy with all that I am doing right now. I have a blender which I use to make smoothies and shakes for him. But I also brought a Breville juice right after his initial diagnosis. I love the juicing but hated the waste; and hubby wouldn't drink it at that time. But I made up my mind to buy the Nutribullet and start back onto making green smoothies with NO waste. I had my 1st one this morning. Made it with 2 handfuls of spinach, a whole advocado, a cup of strawberries, and a cup of frozen mango along with 1/8 cup of whole flaxseed. It was green and it was smooth and made the big jar. So here's to better days and better health. Oh, and BTW, hubby had me make him a Vita-berry blast which he drank up right away! =)

Hello, my name is Destiny and I NEED TO REBOOT!! In the past month, I have felt physically and mentally sick. I have done cleanses and fasting before, so I knew that I needed to dedicate a few days to turn around my current feelings.

To make a long story short, I started looking into juicing and found the films Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead and Forks over Knives. I am super pumped about juicing, but when it came time to pull out my Jack L. juicer, I remembered how much I hated cleaning it (horrible memory from 4 years ago when I last used it :( ).

In my quest for more juicing information, I ran across comments on the Nutribullet (easy clean and less wasted fiber, etc)! Needless to say, I ordered it today!! I wanted to begin juicing on Sunday, so I will have to use my Jack L. juicer for now, but am SUPER EXCITED about the arrival of my new toy... tool... path to a better feeling me.

The initial plan, 2 juices to replace daily meals and 1 WHOLE meal.

Just bought my Nutri-Bullet about a month ago and have decided that I should do a 2 week juice fast. A lot of the motivation has to do with the fact that i have an appointment with my nutritionist in two weeks and have not gotten off my butt and done anything she instructed me to do last month... (I know, lame excuse, but if it gets me motivated than I will take it).

I have been on and off (mostly off) Sparkpages since 2008 and have not stuck with it long enough to lose any weight. Lets see if it sticks this time.

this is really funny to me I just bought my nutri-bullet yesterday and you just added this group today. I dad has had one for about a month now and loves it. I do a lot of juicing with a juicer and I like it but I think it has a lot of wast. I will give this a try when I get it in a few day.
