Hey my name is Diana. I'm a single mom of three. I have decided that instead of just being unhappy with myself I'm going to do something to change it. After having three kids I have gained weight that I need to lose. My goal is 30lbs by my 30th bday. My birthday is in May so i feel that's a good amount of time. I have started on the path towards this goal by 1st cutting soda from my diet. I was a 3 a day drinker for a long time. 2nd I bought myself a new fun 8oz cup and started drinking water more. I shoot for 8-10 glasses a day. My boyfriend is an mma fighter and he has agreed to help me get a fitness plan together but I'm still looking for more moral support from others trying to lose. I came across SP and loved the set up and ease of use. Thank you all for the support.

Hello everyone. This my first time here on SP. I had done WW before but too embarrassed to go back. One of my goals is to loose 35 pounds and to start an exercise routine. I want to make it a life change and not just to fit into old clothes (though I do want that too). So far I have received wonderful advice and great tips from this site. I absolutely love it here. I just past my "2 weeks" limit. I usually only last 2 weeks on a "diet" so I am confident I have the right attitude this time and the support from everyone is awesome. I've learned so much so far and I am looking forward to reaching many (and eventually all) my goals. So welcome to everyone that is new like me :) I think this is the place we need to be. I'm Kimberly. I'm newly married (4 months) and turning 30 in March. We are currently saving for our first home, which we hope to purchase by the end of next summer. My wedding was perfect, with the exception that my husband couldn't carry me over the threshold, so my goal is to be at a reasonable weight for my husband to carry me over the threshold of our first home!! I also want to get healthy before baby. Once we move into our home will be be TTC.

Hello all my name is Lissy. I have like so many others tended to others needs over my own and in the long run have let myself get out of shape. It's time to start living for me. I have four sons ages 27,25,23,20.. one daughter in law and one precious grandson age 1.

I have tried every "diet" out there and even when I did loose weight I would soon fall off the diet and go back to my old ways... so now is the time for me to focus on making lifestyle changes that I can live with that will take me to a healthy lifestyle.

My name Randi and I am doing a Spark-Restart... meaning I have had success with SparkPeople in the past, but life got in the way and the weight has crept back on. *Sigh* You would think I would learn, but oh well. Hi, I am Jackie and I just joined Sparks a few days ago. I'm 45 and my goal is to lose 30 lbs by summer. I have done Weight Watchers in the past, about every 3 years I have to drop 30 lbs and then I gradually put the weight back on. Very frustrating! My name is Jessica. I came to Sparkpeople (account DARLEY) in 2008 and stayed till the fall of 2012. I went from 200 to 129 pounds by 2010. For 2 years I slowly crept the weight back on, getting to 145.
I started tracking my food again 1 1/2 months ago and have lost a little more than 10 pounds, bringing me to 134. That's when I decided to make a Sparkpeople account again.
SP really focuses on healthy weight loss and I was a fool to get rid of this account!
I am here trying to get my body fat down and lose the last bit.

Not new to sparkpeople but know for sure I did accomplish more when I was holding myself accountable by documenting my food and water intake, as well as my fitness. I'm 61, began college part time for the first time about 3 years ago. I'm 7 credits away from associates degree. Not sure yet if I'll go on after getting this degree, but may. I'm retired from state government.....so I don't have to worry about a career. Recently, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. This diagnoises came in July after gall bladder removal in May. Just now feeling half way normal again. So I've gained 13 pounds since May. I'm motivated to reduce inspite of rumors of the impossibility due to my thyroid. Any advice is welcomed. emoticon

Hello everyone! I'm Cy.

I've struggled with my weight since I was younger. Although I'm perfectly happy as I am, I want to be healthier to make sure as I get older I don't have too many health issues. Right now I'm the picture of health besides my weight and I want it to stay that way-into a thinner life though!

Hello,

My name is Laura. I am new this site. I struggle with my weight. I have heart disease on my side of the family. And I have started with high cholesterol and sleep apnea. I had a sleep apnea surgery that I was able to shed some weight off. But since then, I have struggled to keep this off. I have tried everything. A friend of mine on FaceBook showed that she was on this site and thought it would be fun and beneficial to try. I never had much of a support system and that is why this site interested.

Hello!! My name is Tiffany and I've sparked before. I really have no really good excuse as to why I stopped other than Lifestyle changes. Now I'm settled in to a new groove and am ready to get back to my health. My husband had done gastric bypass 2 years ago, and is now falling back into old habits. I don't want to be the one to blame. Hello everyone, my name is Kristy. I'm 32 years old, soon to be 33 next month. I live on Vancouver Island in BC, married but no kids yet. I've tried losing weight so many times I don't even know what number I'm on... emoticon I'm going on a trip to Hawaii in February so I'd like to lose 15-20 pounds by then. I'm hoping this time around I can stick to my workouts. I feel like I will be able to. Hello everyone! My name is Liz, I'm 24 years old and have a 9 month old son. 5 years ago I joined sparkpeople and it helped me lose 60 lbs! I slowly regained the weight and then when I got preggo I gained a whole bunch of weight :-(. I've lost some weight on my own since giving birth but it's been very slow, and I know its because I wasn't be consistent with me workouts and were eating out way too much!
So now I'm back using sparkpeople and since 11/25 i've lost 7 lbs :)

Hi! I am also new to SP. I lost 40 pounds with WW a few years ago and sadly put it all back on. I am tired of being tired and feeling sick and sore, tired of not being as healthy as I want to be, and tired of putting everyone else first all of the time. This is my 2934792348789237498243th time with SparkPeople, and I intend to make it stick.
I have found that without SparkPeople, I can't lose the weight I need to lose. After the year I have had, I need all the support and encouragement I can get, and I know I came to the right place. My lowest weight in the past five years has been 171 pounds; highest was 210. I am currently 182.3, and my hope is to lose 50 pounds by June 2013. I have had enough with excuses, eating myself out of house and home, and feeling like garbage. It's time to take matters in to my own hands, so I'm gonna do it and no one, not even myself, is gonna stop me.
Thank you in advance to those that support, guide, and assist me when I fall, when I've risen, and when the day comes that I begin to maintain weight instead of try to lose, I will remember you. I am already grateful for you :)

Good luck to those that are brand new to this site. It's a wonderful, life-saving tool and you have no idea what good things are in store if you stay here. I keep trying to leave and I always come back, so that right there is a sign you can't do better anywhere but here.

I am joining today because I am turning 39 on Dec 4th - Happy Birthday to me!

I've been overweight since I was a child. I was 100 pounds at age 10, 200 at age 20, and 300 at age 30. Thankfully, that's where I slowed things down - otherwise I'd be a lot worse off than 315 pounds! I don't feel as fat as the scale says I am - and as fat as pictures show me to be. I am fairly active, thanks to a gym membership my parents bought me a year ago. But I'm tired of being the biggest person in the room, the fat woman, the one sitting on the sidelines. I need to be more consistent with my exercise and finally, FINALLY get my eating under control.

Hello,
I have been working to lose weight for a year now. I lost 70 pounds(76, but I gained 6 back) in about 9 months last year, and I have kept it off but I am trying to do better and lose a little more. I lost that initial drive that I had, but I have slowly been putting things in order for me. I heard about SparkPeople from a random conversation I had in the mall with a lady who shared her weight loss story with me. I'll take that as a sign. I am excited to try this.

Hi! I'm Angie. I've been on Sparkpeople before and have just come back. The last month has been a roller coaster of health issues. From a cancer scare to the stomach flu and regular flu to a prediabetes diagnosis. I'm just now starting to eat again after a week of stomach flu, so I figured this is my wake up call. Now is the time. I am a stay at home mom of a 4 yo dd, and a 2 yo ds. I don't have time to be unhealthy. Best wishes to all of you on your journey.

Hello! I am Sara. I have joined SparkPeople because I am looking for a way to track food and fitness as well as health symptoms. I have been sick since September 2011 and have been to several doctors, had my gall bladder removed and went gluten free in July and I am still no better off. Hi, my name is Peggy. I just joined today. I have had problems with my weight for the past 19 years due to depression. I am determined to lose 64 lbs. by July 2013! Hi my name is Christina (If you could't tell by my username lol) and I just joined sparkpeople today. I am excited to have a place to track all my weight and health issues. I just currently left my full time job at a Casino to become a stay at home (Step)mom and am finding I finally have time to start making my health a priority.

Hi, Welcome Rainbow!

I as well struggle since I was a teen with my weight, I have been on Spark since Feb, I use the fitness and nutrition trackers daily, I have lost close to 75 pounds! Make sure you add friends, join some teams and challenges!

Hi! I just joined up today. I've been struggling with weight loss all my life. I'm trying to strengthen myself. I know I need to work on respecting and loving myself. I'm 30 years old and I'm currently married. I have a young daughter.
