Never plan to fail and never give up.
Plan for success and then celebrate it.
When you don't do as well then you just dig in and do better. Don't give in to it.
You are making a lifestyle change and that takes more than one day.

Wow, after today that is a really good idea. I was over on everything today. I guess have a day at home doesn't help, hopefully it'll be easier when I'm working or active for the day.

The worst I felt today was when I was craving noodles, after that I just felt like crap and gave in.

It's true, if you fail to plan then you plan to fail.....guess what I'm doing next.

Complete your nutritional food tracker. Put in all the elements - calories, carbs, sat fat, poly and unsat fats, protein, sodium.
Plan your food for the entire day - even the night before - and then study your nutritional report to see how you can make better food choices or realign them for better results.

Tracking one's food before it passes your lips is the best way to succeed.

Good luck.

I'm new to this. I mean, I'm new to SparkPeople, but also to the "slow and steady" thought. I have always have issues with my weight, with my whole self image actually. I have usually gone to diet pills, or 7 day flushes, or special diet plans.

If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result then I guess I have been insane (I know some would agree with that!!). It doesn't work, obviously, so, let's try something new. Every week I will add a little more, remove a food, add another, add another exercise or increase the time of an existing one.

Right now I'm guessing that's how "slow and steady" works, but, of course, I am very open to stories of what worked for you or suggestions on how to go about this new life that I am on.
