Hello! I am new here, too. I used to run a lot when I was a kid (I am 49 now); but I would love to get running again. I have done some off and on and I am always glad I did it, but getting started is the hard part.
So, here I am to get a 5k done before summer ends.

Hello, I'm new to this group. I started training for a 5K over the winter and I ran/walked my first 5K today. I finished. That is what counts. My training was interrupted through the winter, but after today I'd like to keep it up and be able to call myself a runner. It was great being around people with the passion to run. It was encouraging. It's so hard for me. I have issues not being able to pace myself and breathing. My breathing needs to be better controlled because I'm prone to panic attacks and running can sometimes trigger that, but nonetheless...I'm running. I'm doing it and I'm excited that even though it's super hard, I'm doing it.

Hi all. I'm Courtney. I'm rediscovering SparkPeople after a 2 year hiatus. I started C25K a few months ago and made it through week 5, then my running buddy bailed on me and I find it difficult to get motivated again. Hoping to find my motivation here.
