I'm no expert...but just left a 13.1 page which was discussing the exact same thing. Reasons given for gain were water gain to keep you body cool and hydrated, increase on blood to pump through the workouts, muscle gain and simply needing more to fuel your body. Their suggestion was to kick out the scale and begin to focus on body/muscle changes which occur over time. Maybe try to look up the forum(13.1)...click to my page and then click on the team logo to follow the discussion. Don't give up....we're in this for the long haul. You are doing fantastic!!!
Hi there, I am a new runner, I just finished my 4th day of running in the mornings. I run outside for 30-35min. (I stop and walk a few times). My frustration lies in the fact that I am gaining wieght! For months I have been going to gym for 40min after work. 20min on the elliptical machine and then the weights circut, and loosing weight quite efficiantly. Now I am not on the same work schedual, so have tried to run in the mornings before anyone gets up.. and I am gaining weight. After loosing for quite awhile and getting so close to my goal (I am 5lbs away) to gain is very upsetting. Is it possible to gain muscle weight after only 4 days? Someone please help me! lol.. I am so upset over this I am debating just giving up running and trying to find a way to get back to the gym.
