Well, I am gonna try anyway I guess.
I have had arthritic knees since a near fatal car accident 25 years ago, developed "floating " knees and now have arthritis and bone spurs in my feet.
The doctor wanted to fuse the bones in my big toe and in an effort to avoid this I decided to drop some weight and improve my flexibility in my knees with exercise and yoga.
Only 12 pounds down so far but the flexibility is improving and since I started wearing Fivefingers "barefoot" style shoes the pain is waaaay down in my feet/knees!
I have been talking to a coworker who is into running and with her encouragement I have started traing for my very first 5k in June .
Now I have to figure out how to actually run!
