I used to be an A girl until I found out my husband expected me to make the bed and do the dishes first thing in the morning everyday, key word expected no kindly either. So that little rebel devil in me stopped making the bed altogether (went on strike) and after a few years I went back to making it after he had to make it or have it not made but now I am a B girl.

I have been saving a bit of calories and carbs for an evening snack and that helps me stay on target. So it is usually a sugarfree Hot chocolate(my own mix) feeds the sweet craving and two peanut butter cookies, (homemade of course so I can control size and use splenda for sugars, seein as I am diabetic) that meets the crunchy cravings as well as giving me some protien from the peanut butter. That totally satisfies me even though I would like to eat a dozen of those cookies. I have fruit for my earlier snack.

An apple and peanut butter does it for me, gives me a bit of sweet and crunchy but nutritionally it's fiber, protein and a bit of fat which is filling enough to ket me through the rest of the night. However, if the night time snacking is about something other than hunger then I find doing something physical helps take my mind off the urge to eat. I like to do yoga in the evenings so that is usually my choice.

I'm on pain meds right now, so sleep is pretty good; at least 8 hours a night. In general, however, I'm usually about 7 hours a night which is always interrupted by my tossing and turning or my dad needing help and waking me up...so who knows how much I actually sleep lol

You folks are making me feel much better about my wacky sleep patterns. Occasionally I take Melatonin and that helps me to reset my sleep cycle but I don't like to take it more than that. If I could just make myself get to bed earlier!

Varies greatly because I wake up during the night. Some nights I get into some good deep sleep and other nights I never seem to get into the deep sleep and sleep lightly the whole night through. Of course, I don't feel very rested then. Wish I could sleep like I used to. Solid 10 hours without any disturbance. Nothing could wake me.

Doing good things motivates me to do more good things .. Example: if I work out in the morning, I am less likely to "ruin it" by eating badly.

Also, I bet my husband that I could go two months without dunkin donuts. That ha been a great motivator so far. Good for the wallet too.

In general, I'm happy when they're over, but this year I was happiest on my mini-vacation because I got to spend time with my best friend and celebrate my birthday with my favorite cousin in Williamsburg. I also got to see an uncle I haven't seen in almost 3o years and enjoyed a happy reunion with him. My cousin made my favoirte crab cakes for dinner and made me a coconut cream pie (he's a man and it was deliciious! How 'bout that?!) Also enjoyed a great dinner at a Williamsburg tavern -- The King's Arms. Delish!!! (Thank you, Dottie!)

That I get to spend time with family I rarely see. Yes I have to "put up" with some that we don't see each other for a reason, but with my cousins, we are just busy leading separate lives. It is nice to have a day together.
