Just registered for the Dash for Dad in Cincinnati Sept 8. This is for Prostate Cancer. My father lost he battle to prostate cancer in 2010. Second year doing this last year I walked it with bouts of jogging. Goal is to jog it all this year.

I signed up for the Hope on Wheels 5k for September 9th in Chicago. Really excited! Any advice you guys may have to increase speed would be awesome! I am at the end of week 4 for the Sparkpeople c25k for jogging. I am completing about 2.5 miles in 50 - 60 minutes. I need to finish 3.1 miles in less than 50 minutes. Is this possible before the race?

I did the 5K Race for the Cure in May and I also did the Capital City Quarter Marathon in May. I may not do anymore races this year until I shed some more pounds. I did sign up for the Spark Virtual 10k though.
