Welcome! To answer your introductory questions, yes, it will really work - but only if you want it to and are willing and READY to do what is needed to make it work. We all get ready at different times and for different reasons. Some of us stall, some stop and start again and again. The important thing is to never give up and never give in. We are having dinner meet up the last Friday in June. Details are in the June dinner meet up thread. Hope to see you there!

Welcome, you are definitely in the right place. What part of San Antonio do you live in? This is a great resource for meet-ups, support, encouragement, articles, recipes, whatever.

Start where you are and do what you can ... consistency is key and every little thing helps.

Happy to have you here. emoticon emoticon

50+year old male with several medical issues.....need to lose about 50 lbs to hopefully aliviate some of these problems....can a support group really jump start this process.....exercise must be somewhat limited (reconstructed foot, colonostomy and illostomy bags )but bike rideing and machine type workouts are ok.......
