Hi, I'm Sucatha and Oxygen magazine is my addiction. I've been getting the magazine since it's debut along with the special publications and the entire Eat Clean Diet series. You would think after following it for so long I'd be fit, healthy and in shape . . . NOT! But I'm committing to a happy, fit, and healthy lifestyle. I'm going to incorporate some of the things I've read in Oxygen. Can't wait to see my progress!

Hi I am Lindy and i love love love Oxygen. I have been buying them for years. I really should subscribe it would save me a lot of money. i switched to Oxygen cuz some other "fitness" magazines are mostly beauty tips and fashion advice and Easy workouts. Now i just need to USE more of Oxygen's advice.

My favorite new saying from a recent oxygen mag is "just because your tire goes off the road doesn't mean you have to drive into the ditch"

My name is Kat and I'm 28 from Toronto. I just bought a subscription for Oxygen when I realized that I was just buying each month's issue anyway! I do my best to eat clean, homemade food every day, but I still struggle a little with sauces, sugar and alcohol. I read the magazine mostly for motivation and education (not usually for the exercises), but today I'm excited to be starting month 2 of the Best Body Program!

Hi!

I'm Missy and I just recently started subscribing to Oxygen. I love the workout plans! I am doing their 3 month Best Body Program that has shown up in the last two issues. I started it a little late so today is the last day of week 2 for me. I am only following the exercise plans and not the eating plan because I eat a vegan diet. I love how I only have to commit to three days of strength training a week, and then I just add in whatever I can get to the rest of the week. Is anyone else following this program?

Hi Oxygen Readers!
I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I stumbled upon Oxygen some time ago - this year I started purchasing it on the newstand... and enjoy the magazine from cover to cover... I just sent away for a 1 year subscription. What I've done this year is compile a binder of all the articles and put them into clear plastic sleeves and inserted tabbed sections such as .. nutrition...abs.. shoulders.. water... etc. -- this has been very helpful for me .. if I want to work on a muscle group I just grab that section...
I just had some blood work done recently - now I got apmt to see dr. on monday (eek!) well he is either going to tell me one of several things.. * cholosteral is up .. and/or now I got diabetes (which is highly possible..my brother now 63 .was diagnosed with diabetes at age 50) .and definitely going to tell me to loose weight..
if he only could understand it is really challenging.. soon as I start to focus on what i am eating .. everything I should not have .. I want all that much more.. (it's frustrating and annoying) .. so what is the solution?
dr asked is there someone i can sent you to talk to about your weight? I said "like who" i have seen dieticians, nutritionsist, years ago i hired personal trainer .. that only lasted the 8 hours that I paid for .. then he never spoke to me again.. can't pay - don't get any advice.. silly world.. this is..
yes, I got an elliptical --i was doing well 2 yrs ago when i got it .. then my brother passed away -- unexpectedly from lung cancer.. then last year my mom got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer passed away this feb, then last xmas at this time a good friend I knew for 30 yrs passed away from colon cancer she was 81 .. jan this year i lost my job of 7 yrs.. only job i could get was a part time office job. (hourly pay) ...still stressed - may seem like excuses.... i just can't seem to get on track with diet and exercise.. - suggestions welcome ..
LOVE oxygen magazine.. I did not like that summer issue that had elizabeth hasselback on it -- inspiring to read Tosca Reno -- not sure I'd want to go to that extreme of body building.. jsut want to loose tummy and not have knees hurt so much..
take care all - hope i can give advice to others ... and we can help each other on this journey of discovering our healthy bodies.. :)

I love Oxygen and am so happy to see this group here! I just bought a digital subscription for my iPad - it's so awesome. The women in Oxygen are so strong and they look fantastic. They motivate me more than the waifish models in other fitness magazines.

Hi there, my name is Cindy.

I joined sparkpeople years ago when I had put on a few pounds and found much success. Unfortunately, something went wrong somewhere...probably not keeping my calories in check as much as I thought I did, and despite doing P90X and Insanity, I managed to still regain the weight and then some.

I tried to follow their recommended number of calories and actually gained fat (not muscle too bad). I've decided to come back to SP because I need to count those calories and see what I was really doing. It's odd but I seem to need a lot fewer calories than typically suggested, probably because I'm at a sedentary day job...desk aaaalllll day! So no matter how tough my workouts they weren't cutting it.

Anyway, with all the changes I've gone through myself and the weight gain, I'm back and I also dropped my Shape subscription and just subscribed to Oxygen. I won't get them for a while yet, but I'm excited as I've always loved the magazine whenever I've bought a newstand copy.

Wish me luck with my new ventures. My plan is weights (probably 3 times a week?), cardio, and getting back to about 1400 cals a day until I can settle on what my body actually needs (at 1500-1600 a day I wasn't losing an ounce!...weird)

Hello Oxygen Sparkies!

My name's Emily, I'm 28 and have the last 10lbs to lose before I get married in September. I've been subscribed to Oxygen for almost a year now. I have rip up the magazines and sort the articles into a binder so I can refer to them later. I LOVE my binder ;) Whenever I need to mix it up at the gym I know where to turn! I try to incorporate at least one of the new fitness plans and one recipe every month.

I wait anxiously each month for my new issue. Alas, in Canada we've been having a mail strike so I'm STILL waiting for my July Issue. **Sigh**

Did anyone make the BBQ sauce from last month's issue (I think it was in last months)? OMG so good. I'm making jam as wedding favours and I might add this to the list of flavours! Some people can't have / prefer not to have sweets so I want to have options.

Can't wait to get to know you all!

Hi Oxygen Team! Glad to have found you. I'm Lisa and I have been a member of Spark before but needed to take some time off last year. I'm back now and have been following Oxygen Magazine for the last 5 months. I'm got a personal trainer who loves putting the weights to me so it seems fitting that I am now here with all of you. Hope to lose another 28 pounds, but most of all I want to build strength and tone up. This year is my year to shine!

Hi, I,m Cherie, been reading Oxygen for at least a yr. or more! Its so informative and it helps me to remember different exercises for different body parts. I,m not too fon of some of these fake boobs, it seems to tell us its not okay to be smaller and flabby! I love the eat-clean articles and the concept of healthy living for life! The recipes give me ideas. Glad I found this site! Cherie

Hi there group ,happy to see there a site for Oxygen ,love the mags n sister ones along with Tosca books,I have join a few weeks agom still getting used to the site and the messages board ,My question id protein powders thinking of taking them after my workouts,or when I have my daily smooti I make for the family ,thought I was getting enough protein in ,especially being anemic and know coming here realize I wasn't,I use some of Hemp products and was wondering if anyone has used there protein powders?

Hi Everyone! I just joined Spark People yesterday, so I'm still learning about all the site features and so forth. I LOVE Oxygen and find it really inspiring and am excited to find a group that is enthusiastic about it like I am! I subscribed nearly a year ago and got serious about working out last fall. After some health problems that got really bad 3 years ago, including 2 endocrine disorders (thyroid and PCOS) I gained 35 lbs which haven't wanted to budge despite all kinds of efforts. 35 lbs isn't that much when you read about people losing 100 lbs all the time, but it's more than I've ever weighed. And losing it has been pretty tough. Everything I've always done in the past hasn't worked including just regular clean eating, or I guess it just takes 3 times longer and I get so frustrated I give up. I've managed to keep off about 10 lbs so I've got about 25 more to lose. But I decided even if I didn't lose any fat, I still wanted to be fit, strong, flexible and healthy.

I'm currently following the Feb "Best Body" plan from Oxygen and I really like this workout. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hi I'm Kelly and have been around Sp for a long time! I have lost a nd gained so many time but this time is different! It's all or nothing and I chose all.

I have read the Jan issue of oxygen and I'm even a member of the eatclean website as well.

I was very sick the first 2 weeks of January with bronchitis so I am finally over it and am starting the January best body ever plan from Oxygen.So I will begin the diet portion tomorrow....
