Hi and welcome! Way to go on that 6 lbs! Ya know, I have a re-usable grocery bag that I keep by my bed, and for every pound I lose, I add a 1 lb can (16 oz), and then whenever I pass by it, I do a few curls with it. Six lbs is six lbs. It has a weight to it. You can feel it. It's not like picking up your son but you can notice it. And that is 6 lbs you are no longer carrying around!! It's a great accomplishment and you deserve to be proud!!

Also, being a mother doesn't mean you stop being a person or a woman. I think it's GREAT that you are doing the C25K, and it will help ensure you will be around for all the years of your kids life! Way to go, taking the best care of yourself you can, inside and out!

If you won't take time for your health, who will?

Hi everyone!
I saw this group on my friend CurvyElvie's list and it sounds perfect for me. :)
I am trying to put myself first so I can take better care of others. I have a 5 year old. My mom thinks I need to skip doing any 5Ks so I can be there all the time for my son and I don't see why I can't get some help to watch him once in awhile so I can do a 5K.

I'm at 243 lbs today. Proud of 3 lbs gone this week! Total loss of 6 lbs in March.
I did my first 5K yesterday - Pet Friendly walk with my dog. Yay!

You are worth having a healthy body!

This is a lifestyle change to be healthy, not a diet and not a sprint to get there.. one day at a time, one pound at a time.. as long as it takes, starting again as often as possible.
