WTG Kris!

A family member had to have cardiac surgery and I was so impressed by the cardiothoracic surgeon who took a break every work shift to either hop on the treadmill or out for a brisk walk. She was the picture of health and a slam-bang surgeon!

Being healthy ourselves adds a great margin of confidence and inspiration patients have in their health care professionals!

I am also a new RN, working on a cardiac unit though. Sparkpeople helped me lose weight and become healthier before so after struggling through nursing school with the schedules ans stress I am hoping to get back to healthy. After all i take care of my patients hearts why not take care of mine. I also just got married, in may, and we plan on starting a family soon. Just one more reason to get in shape :) Good luck to you and welcome. I hope we accomplish much!!

I'm a new RN working in med/surg! I'm also a newlywed, a vegetarian, and outdoorsy! I'm ready to lose some weight, but more importantly get healthy to care for patients and endure those long shifts. I'm excited to start the weightloss journey and possibly train for a 5K! Good luck to everyone else and thank you for your support!
