Wonderful to have you joining our SparkTeam!
It's great to hear that your DH is "on board" in building a healthier lifestyle. Children can be such a helpful motivator as you & DH are their primary role models and the healthy lifestyle you teach them NOW will serve them well and influence them positively for the rest of their lives! It is one of the most powerful gifts a parent can pass along to one's children!
I'm pleased to see you sharing on our message boards as well and look forward to hearing from you again in the future! Sharing your thoughts, feelings, insights, trials, tribs and SUCCESSES is how we get the MOST from our SparkFamily! :-)

Thank you guys for the encouragement and advice! And I see what you mean by ''not dieting'' and becoming more fit. This definately is a complete lifestyle change that is necessary, overdue and very much embraced!

"When I say it’s you I like, I’m talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed.” Mr. Rogers
“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
