Hi...My name is Katie, I am 31....and new to this team! I've been a nurse for 6 years, but been in the nursing field since I was 19. Recently just started a residential treatment facility for kids agaes 9-21 with psych issues and forms of intellectual issues. LOVE MY JOB. just finished up 6 yrs of acute care in the hospital for Baraitric/Orthopedic/Med Surg...quite the challenge!!! I need some insight on how to stay focused on health/well-being working the graveyard shift. I literally feel like a zombie! *yikes* I'm open to any ideas on surviving this change...I think joining this team is going to be great. hope you all had a blessed weekend.

Hi. Just found this team. I joined Spark last month and really love this site. I am a nurse with a background in peri-operative. I have been a nurse manager of PACU, Day Surgery and Pre-admitting until the past 2 years. I cut down to part time since my husband has already retired. Next April I will retire. Now I need to take care of my weight and get in shape! emoticon
