Welcome to the team, Crystal and Lori! You are definitely changing your family tree by changing your own health.

I worked up to using more and more tools on the site. There's so many tools here. Be patient with yourselves and your Spark programs. The tortoise wins the race over the hare every time!

Hello Crystal and Lori. I joined this site a little over 3 weeks ago. You'll love it. Take your time to aquaint yourselves with the site, as it was overwhelming to me at first. The people seem friendly and helpful and the site has great info on both weight and health.

Have fun and good luck!!

Good Day to all of you! My name is Lori and I am 47 years old. I joined this site because it was recommended to me by a family member. I have always watched my weight and as I continue to "mature" (a nice way of saying age!), it is more and more difficult to maintain my weight. I lost 35 pounds in my 20's and kept is off for 20 years through eating right and exercise 5 days a week. Now it is much more difficult, and many people have told me I don't eat enough, thereby causing a problem. Since taking a different position and obtaining a masters degree, I do not exercise as much or regularly as I used to. So tracking my eating, I hope, will help me eat enough, but not too much! My goal is to lose 15-20 pounds, and I'd like to feel good about how I feel in my own skin. I am a pediatric nurse manager, and I love nursing. I have 2 sons who are 20 and 22. I enjoy sewing, cooking/baking, exercise, reading and learning. I look forward to meeting all of you!

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
