Hi Tamesha! I have great respect for CNA's. CNA's & housekeepers really keep hospitals running, most lay people have no idea.

Your kids look just darling. I'm sure they have their days - they are really cute.

It's neat that you came back to Spark. Welcome home!

Welcome, I used to be a cna in a nursing home. I did love my work. You want to laugh with the patients some time at the patients but you also want to cry with them. I don't mean a mean way to laugh at them but they can be so funny at times in what they say and do just like the rest of the world. I really do miss them. I also love my retirement.
I guess they say all good things must come to an end sometime. emoticon

Welcome. I can only imagine the stress you have as a hospice worker. The outcome is always the same.

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

Wonderful to see you introducing yourself to the Team!

Coming to the message boards and sharing your SPARK via thoughts, trials, tribs and SUCCESSES is how to get the MOST from your SparkTeam!

Hospice takes a very special kind of person to "be there" for others in such important ways. And YES our CHILDREN can be such POTENT MOTIVATORS! Lucky YOU!

I'm Tamesha...and I'm a 35 year old mother of 4. I am a CNA and I work in Hospice care. I've been a member of Sparkpeople for several years...but only recently became active. I guess it took me that long to decide that things have to change (but I guess better late than never...right?). I would like to thank the members of the group that gave me such a warm welcome...and showered me with goodies. After a long week of work...it was nice to see that while going through my e-mail. I am really trying very hard to get the full benefit of Spark...although I have a lot of hard work and a long road ahead of me. I do want to lead by example...especially for my children. Glad to have such good people to go on this journey with me.
