it begs the question why are people so easily fooled????

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

Bizarre!

I've never heard MBT's and similar fitness shoes touted for weight loss, or to substitute for working out. They do change your center of balance and have to worked in, not just put on full-time all at once. Same thing as putting in new orthotics full-times all at once.

Give me a 1600 calorie cookie diet, I'd be tempted, but I didn't actually admit that! But 800 calories, that's about 3 1/2 Costco oatmeal raisin cookies. I'd starve!

We have actually had an employee purchase the "Magic" fitness shoes and sustain an injury.
She thought it was a DVT of the calf it was so painful. Turned out to be a musculoskeletal injury related to those "magic shoes".

Silly isn't it. I like the soft chicken Tacos at Taco Bell. But I wouldn't consider it a means to lose weight
I eat them once in a while. I prefer to make my own at home. I hope people don't fall for this one.

The sad truth is these products would never make it to market without being at least somewhat successful in selling themselves...ugh!

Thanks. Makes you wonder what the ad people that think up these things is actually only looking at a get rich scam and many people are gulible and looking for a fast fix.

Thanks for sharing the article. I agree with the author that the Taco Bell Drive-Thru Diet is potentially the most injurious--second only to the Exercise Shoes. Americans remember the ads for Jared's weight loss at Subway and may accept the Taco Bell "diet" as a similar weight loss nutrition plan. There's still a great need for public education, isn't there?

Sharing this for two reasons:

1) It's a great belly laugh!

and

2) To illustrate how to tell if one should be wary of an advertised pitch for some sort of quick weight-loss fix.

Enjoy!
