I'm posting this under "introductions" as many of our newbies may be unaware of the SparkPoint system.
You've heard the expression that: there are two types of people 1) those who say there are two types of people and those who don't! :-)
Well, there are two types of Sparkies: 1) those who love their SparkPoints, and 2) those who wrinkle their nose in disdain over such childish "toys."
Confession time:
I am an unabashed, point-grubbing Sparkie...lol!
I love racking up SparkPoints and when you earn more of them you get MUCH better TROPHIES (located in the upper right-side of the page under "My SparkPoints") and can SPEND your SparkPoints buying GOODIES for treating other members!
Many of you may know various ways of accumulating SparkPoints, via tracking food, exercise, reading Spark emails, articles, etc. However, I remember it took me quite a while to find this not-so-obvious method for adding SparkPoints to your total:
On any of your SparkPages underneath where it lists your Total Points their is a link called "View SparkPoints." If you follow this link a page will open to your SparkPoints page with a big wheel of fortune you can click to spin and earn extra SparkPoints...woo hoo! Sometimes I've earned as many as an extra 25 points! Once I won a SparkPeople bumper sticker! I love it! :-)
Underneath the wheel all the various ways one can earn SparkPoints are listed. Check it out!
I love to rack up 70+ points a day if I can! I figure my fixation on SparkPoints has replaced my old fixation on sweets and baked goods...lol! A low-cal alternative...hooray!
Anyhow, I thought I'd post this for the benefit of any newbies who want to grub after points like I do!
Have fun out there people!
