If you do not have a scale, 4 oz of meat is about the size of a deck of cards. That is probably about the size of half of most chicken breasts.

I agree with Don also. I have a scale and use it all the time. I have wore out one and on my second. I use it for all my foods.

When you bought the chicken breast, I'll bet there was a total weight on the package...? I'd divide that by 5 to have the approximate weight of each chicken breast.
Also consider, if you want to take care to measure your food intake, buying a food scale to better measure your food.

Can someone tell me how much .5 chicken breast weighs? I buy the precooked, pre-sliced chicken and have no idea how much I should be eating. thanks for all your help.

A trick I often use to find food that is "close" to what I'm eating is to search in SparkRecipes and once I find something you can choose to add anything in SparkRecipes to your food tracker.

you know my food is usually not listed so what i do is that i create my own recipe and then see the nutritional info and also that way i can add it to my meal plan.I cannot tell you how excited i am now since i am actively exercising and dieting and sparking daily...but i have no sparkfriends..i wish i had to keep me motivated...anyways i am happy for now...
