Welcome! This is a battle, but you can do this.
Hi my name is Aereana, I am 35, a mother of 5 and has struggled with asthma all my life. Now, I have been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. Since, there isn't really any topics of forums for that, I will stick around here. I could use all the help I can get from anyone willing.
I am in the process of trying to lose weight, but can not stress my lungs out in anyway so working out is a huge issue. I have to find sit down, low impact, nothing that will stress the lungs out. I am logging everything I eat or drink to maintain the "necessary" caloric intake required, so far it is helping and have lost some weight. I hate this slowness that comes along with having to be patient. I am also on many medications right now and have to monitor my blood sugar for the time being, but I am not diabetic normally. So finding meals that are dairy free (youngest has an allergy to it) and sugar free or low carbs. I am on medications that make you gain weight as well, I am just starting out on this literal uphill battle.
I could use the support of anyone willing to help me out, encourage, and offer out advice or point out some good recipes (I have been searching here for those as well). Let my journey continue. Feel free to add me as a friend if you wish, as I said I could use all the support that is willing to be given. Thanks for listening ...
