Hello, I'm new to the team but not that new to Spark. My name is Cyndy. I'm 40, and I was diagnosed with asthma about 2.5 years ago. The doctor's theory is that I let undiagnosed allergies go for too long, and developed asthma as a result of the chronic inflammation brought on by the allergies. I'm lucky in that my asthma is fairly mild and my asthma attacks normally result in a dry, hacky cough. I need to use my inhaler before I exercise, otherwise in about ten minutes I'm hacking and gasping for air. I have a rescue inhaler (albuterol-type) and I take Singlair (mostly for allergies). I seem to have reached a plateau with my exercise and am looking for ways to either exercise harder or longer without triggering a coughing fit.
