Welcome to the team and I too wasn't diagnosised till later but ran in my mom's side of the family quite a bit. My asthma messes with me quite a bit during the spring season due to all the budding of trees because my allergies tie into my asthma very badly and yes a small cold to others is very hard on me as well. I wish you all the best in reaching all your goals and glad you have you on the team.

Hi and welcome. I'm a newcomer to spark people myself and have had asthma for quite awhile. It was undiagnosed for many years and when a friend of mine described her asthma symptoms I had an ah-ha moment and went to the doctor. I used Advair for awhile but didn't like the side effects and now maintain with an inhaler. I don't know why my asthma fluctuates but even though it is better for the moment it never goes away. I did get a pneumonia shot last season and have been healthier. Don't know if this helped. Anyway, good luck with the weight loss and nice to meet you.

Its so nice to see I'm not alone. I've had asthma since age 5 and I'm 45 now. Sure do wish there was a cure for it and that the doctors were right when they told me years ago I'd grow out of it. I maintain with Advair, but when winter flu season rolls around it becomes a struggle. A small virus for most people can feel like a life-threatening event for me. I'm fine in the summer, which is great because I like to be outdoors. Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone and wish you all the best of life!
