Hello and welcome to the team. My daughter also has asthma but had lost so much weight that hers doesn't hardly bother her anymore and my son's also acts up only when he is sick. My triggers are also mostly the same as well. I wish you all the best on your journey.

Hello, I have had asthma for 19 years now and I find the major triggers for me are: perfume of any kind, cigarettes, pipes, humidity and exercise. I have almost constant sinus infections which don't help at all. I am on Singulair, Symbicort, Pro-Air, prednisone, Ipratroprium Bromide and Pulmicort (last two for nebulizer), plus I take Pepcid AC just to counter-act the heartburn/acid reflux from the medicines. I haven't been hospitalized for over 7 years but only because I was given the choice by my doctor. My daughter has asthma and my son is borderline (only bothers him when he is sick). I am glad I found sparkpeople and am ready to face the weight and my other health issues head on.
