Hello and welcome to the team. I used the Walk Away the Pounds dvds where I can control the AC to help lose the weight and get my cardio in. Leslie Sansone has them in 1,2,3,4, and 5 mile walks. You could start with the 1 mile walk which is 12 minutes long. Remember just to start slow and don't overdo it.

Hi Sherryberry and welcome! And don't feel bad! Easy for me to say, but I understand exactly how you feel. A year ago I was doing great with my workouts and exercising everyday. This past Feb I came down with pneumonia. That caused my recently-diagnosed, incredibly mild asthma to go into overdrive and hasn't been under control since. I had a cold in there somwhere, but the past 3 months felt like I was never going to be able to breathe right and exercise again, and I was feeling angry and hopeless. My point is it WILL get better. It takes time and you have to let your body heal, but it WILL get better. It's frustrating as hell, but in the meantime pay attention to what you're eating and use the nutrition tracker. Once you're able, start with gentle exercise like walking (with your doctor's approval). It's frustrating, but it WILL get better. Hang in there!

Hi I am Sherryberry, 46 just been told I have allergy induced asthma. I wanted to cry when she told me cause I have been trying so hard for over 3 months to get over a cold then allergies and then upper resep. infection, and now asthma. I did my first breathing treatment tonight and as I sat there breathing that stuff, I was wondering when I am ever going to get started back on trying to work out???? I have so much weight to lose and this just feels like another kick in the teeth. I am sorry I am not one to wallow in my self pity but I am SO FRUSTRATED!! I have been trying since December to start a workout program. My family has all but given up on me losing weight cause it seems like it is one thing after another. I think I have too.. most of my attempts the past 6 months been pretty lame. Anyway,,, here I am... sorry so long
