I also has asthma. I take singular, albuterol and recently started taking asmanex. I am doing better with the new med. I also started running on the treadmill again. I'm new to this site and looking for some ideas that might help.
hello everyone! How cool is it to have a support group so specific to health problems. I have been having a lot of problems with my asthma lately. I know it's because I'm overweight. I'm trying to get back into being active. It's just very hard being so heavy and having asthma. Since I've started exercising I've been using my inhaler about 4 times a day. I know it will get better though. Thanks for having me in your group!!

Welcome to the team and glad to have you. I think your right on the last med because I think it is generic for prilosec. My daugther takes prevacid for hers and is on Asmanex and Xopenex and I take the Xopenex and Pulmicort. I also hope my daughter might out grow hers because she is only 7 but who know. It runs real heavy in my Mom's side of the family and even had a few deaths over it. Good luck in reaching your goals.

Hi!! I am a newbie! I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 9 almost 14 years ago. Some of my doctors were hoping I would grow ot of it like my sister but I never did. I am on 4 medications for my asthma, advair (the highest amount), singulair, albuterol, and omeprozole(they think that my indigestion might have something to do with it). I'm happy that there is a board for asthma!!
