emoticon DKS1962 and emoticon to SparkPeople and the team challenge...Nice to have you with us on the journey to a healthier lifestyle...and oh yeah, it does work! emoticon

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

emoticon to a great team and site! Baby steps - one step (change) at a time. Start by changing a small habit and each week add on to it. Every small change makes a difference.

This site is FULL of support and information!!! If at first you don't succeed, try.....try again! Don't expect to have a complete transformation over night. Baby steps is right. Once you have one habit established, you work on another one. My best to you!!!

Welcome! I've been a member for years. In general, I've never been more than 10lbs from my goal weight (with the exception to pregnancy) so it must work!

The thing about this site, is you get out of it, what you put into it!!

I recommend finding some groups that motivate you. Check to see when the most recent posts are...it sucks to get excited about an inactive group!

I also recommend giving the food plans a shot. If you're new to it, I think it's a great way to jumpstart your plan!!

Have fun!!!

Hi, I've read about Spark People and thought I would give this a try. I had a full hysterectomy in April 2011 and have gained 30 pounds. I've never weighed this much in my life. I can't stick with anything that is very restrictive. I'm weak and I aint' afraid to admit it. So I'm trying to find something that is doable. Baby steps. How do I get started? Any and all advise is appreciated.

Nothing changes if nothing changes!
