We are on almost the same path! My RNY was 1/25/12!

I had RNY gastric bypass on 1/23/12. My three week weight loss was 51 lbs. By my 100 day post surgical appt I had lost 100.5 lbs. I was told that the first six weeks were the hardest and they were. No food other than broth and protein shakes for the first 23 days was grueling, but just as I was told the light came on during my sixth week, the cravings all stopped, I quit obsessing about all the foods I couldn't eat, and started focusing on how great I was feeling. I can honestly say that today's total loss of 128 pounds carries with it no regrets and a new appreciation for life. I have 72 more to go and day by day I know I will get there. This can truely save your life, but I have followed the rules! Hearing other stories about regain terrify me. Good luck to you in your journey. I hope you find the answers you are looking for!

Congrats on the decision! I attended 1st meetings over 7 times and 10 years before going through with it! Have lost 125 in 10 mo. GL!

Hi there, I am Rick, I just went to the first informational meeting for the surgery program last night and think I am ready to make the jump. I am going to go through the post on here and see what I can learn.
