My name is Sue and I want to lose weight and get healthy. I am a Type 2 diabetic that recently was put on insulin to get my blood sugar under control. My A1C was a whopping 13.9 so my doctor put me on insulin. I have always been overweight (well, since 3rd grade) and had lost over 20 lbs in the past 6 months. It was not a healthy weight loss because it was due to my diabetes being out of control. I felt better because I was lighter but I knew it wasn't good. My skin was flabby and looked horrible. Since I was put on insulin, I have gained almost all the weight back and it has only been a month. I have got to do something. I saw the infomercial on the Food Lovers diet and wanted to order the program. Then I found Spark. Thank you God!!! I want to do this the healthy way and keep the weight off. My goal is to get off my meds, but most definitely the insulin. I don't know if it's possible but if I learn how to eat the right foods in the right combination, I think I will be able to achieve my goal.
