I think it's a combination of both. I go through cycles where my fitness and nutrition are totally in sync, then I'll start exercising a lot and eating worse, then get burned out but eat super healthy, then give up on both and start over again. I need to work on consistency.

Nice to meet you Jamie! I am Joy from Florida... Do you struggle more with exercise or nutrition? It is great you are thinking ahead to what you want for yourself in 2011, maybe you can do 1 little thing towards it starting now and not wait until January! I have been overweight my entire life and am working on being healthier. I have done well this year getting some of the weight off but have been maintaining since Nov so I am trying to reevaluate what was working and find out how I lost my way... Joy

I've hovered on sparkpeople for awhile but I've never posted anything or gone public. My name is Jamie and I'm a freshman at PSU. I did sports all through high school and when they were over I gained a lot over the summer. I've always been bigger, but now with the extra 20-30 lbs it's even worse. I've lost about 15 lbs so far but I still have a long way to go. I'm hoping to make some changes when 2011 rolls around.
