Hello, I am a knitter and I make jumpers for myself and my husband. I have made quite a few and when I am bored with them I undo them and re-knit them in a different style which is what I am doing now. I love cable and have two packs of double knit waiting for their chance. My last project was a cardigan but I think I made it too small - no matter its only one size so that's the challenge for myself - to grow down into it lol.
Take a step at a time in the right direction - and you will surely arrive.
I do some knitting, in fact I am making a sweatshirt with lots of colors. restarted knitting about 2 or 3 years ago. I have some arthritis and thought it might help the old fingers. So far it keeps it at bay, and I am doing something that I have not done in years. Never did it a lot so I now have three new objectives; losing weight, knitting and meeting new people.

I also like to read! Sometimes I combine the two by reading knitting mysterys by Maggie Sefton.I'm happy to join this team.

Isn't it amazing when your parents aren't too good at being parents (my Mum wasn't much chop) there are others that are there and even better. You will have those memories for ever and pass new ones on to your kids and grand kids or even neighbours.
My Mum taught me to knit but my auntie encouraged me to try new patterns and to keep goin when it looked like a birds nest and my love of aran came from her,
My screen name is Red
I am 46 years old
I live in denmark but am a expat from New Zealand- the land of sheep..
I am mom to 2 ADHD teenagers- neither live at home..
I work as free lance resthome helper in peoples own homes..
I love to body build, race walk, take photos, my computer- but my knitting has been a life long hobby.. It reminds me of someone special my grandma..
She was a firm believer of knowing where kids where -having had 12 of them (also had a set of twins die).. She also has taking care of me and my 3 sibblings also while mom was at work on her CV.. She gave me quality time, my parents will never understand and a hobby that helped me create wonderful things. My childhood was days of summer, sitting on the patio and asking grand to help me learn this and that.. My parents used to spoil everything with their constant arguing.. Knitting was a refuge for me in a unhappy family home.. I never knew a hobby could bond two people so close.. I miss her heaps..
