Because the weather is usually nicer as spring is getting closer, I intend to go for walks and run outside more often... I can wait to get on my bike ...
So this month my miles will be:
Running
Cycling at the gym
Elliptical
And walking...

A great topic! I love most of the ways to go. I am currently tracking running miles and swimming miles. I try to run 20~25 miles per week and swim 2~4 miles per week (when I have access to a lap pool). I also love biking, hiking, and walking too, and track them on the fitness tracker but I don't have weekly/monthly/yearly goals for those.

We do not rise to the level of our expectations. We fall to the level of our training.

I'm working on walking to build up to hiking and hopefully running..

(if my right knee will allow)..

I used to run & run & run & run & run & run! Now it's all new.. I'm almost 50 and over weight and am learning what my body is capable of.. finding my confidence in my body again.

Mostly I walk my pups, but I do enjoy running, biking, and kayaking also.

For me, it's all about WHY I'm going.

If it's training, I swim/bike/run 'cause that's what I'm training for. Don't really like the run part, but I like achieving goals I set for myself.

If it's transportation, I bike when it's more than two or three miles and walk otherwise.

If it's vacation, I'm hiking or swimming at the beach. If it's a winter adventure, I may be on cross country skis or snowshoes.

The elliptical, dreadmill, stationary bike, perpetual pool - those to me are a special kind of hell and I am happy to do my part to make the line shorter for those of you who love them.

My favorite way to go the distance is to jog or do a fast walk with someone in my family. I work full time and sit most of the day so I love on my lunch break to do some stairs. I take 20 minutes and walk up and down the stairs in our 4 story office building.
On the week-end I love to hike or go bike riding with my son and husband.
I vacation 2 weeks every year in November in Victoria, BC Canada and the whole time I walk and hike this beautiful place.
