I have heard that a vegan diet can reverse diabetes so I am helping my MIL try to get off her diabetic medication using this lifestyle change. Best wishes as your journey to better health continues

Hi everyone. I hesitated joining this group and then I remembered a video that I seen recently saw about a man who was in a wheelchair and overwieght. He was told it was likely impossible for him to walk again. I watched his progress and sheer determination to overcome and persevere. It was amazing. Here I sit and I am still capable of walking. Some slight pain in my hips and legs but I am sure I can walk even if its minimal. I had used a treadmill two years ago daily for 3 months and lost 13 pounds. I am sure I can do that again. So my definite goal is going to be the 201.2. I need to be realistic also and if I can achieve that I can keep walking....I have lost wieght simply by changing my food... eathing more vegetables and juicing. My fruit intake consists of organic apples when I can get them, and pears. I am living with diabetes right now and i know lifestyles change can reverse that. I wish everyone wellness and look forward to what this group can share.
