Hello! I was really active in the forum awhile back, but fell off track (I am sure many people know what I am talking about). I am sad to see it lost momentum.

I am, however, super glad to see people who are still active! Gives me a reason to come back to the group.

Hi! I have had the book for a few months and finally decided to give it a try. why not, I've done every other diet. So, today is my second day. It has been easy. Scarily easy. I told myself I would see it through for one week and at the end of the week I would make a decision as to whether to do another week. One week at a time. Good news is that lat night I did not binge which in turn kept me from feeling crappy about myself.

Happy May to everyone !

I have been sick in the bed this week. Just had body aches and no other symptom... just hurt in the shoulders, arms, ribs, and back. I am gradually feeling better but with no exercise and some bad eating then I am nervous for WI on thursday. I don't know why but when I am sick I am always reach for bad "comfort " food and this time it was a huge thick peanut butter sandwich! OUCH !

I hope everyone else is having a great on program week !

hi lori,
I know exactly what you mean by a crazy week messing with your workout scedule. We had a gospel meeting going on every night sunday through wednesday and it was TRULY awesome and I loved every minute of it. It was more of a science lesson and truly informative and extremely educational but I am tired of going going going.... along with funerals and a friend's wedding anniversary and throw in a high school party for teens !!
I did not get to complete all my assighments for my BL challenge just some of them!

My knees are still talking to me but I still got in 15 miles this week for a 2.2 pd loss ! I'll take it but it seems to be crawling off of me now( a 3 pd loss for the month) and I am beginning to doubt if I can lose much this year and I do NOT want the negativity to creep back in !

WE can do this and I WILL NOT give up....... I do NOT want to start over so I must not quit !!

Hang in there girl
Christine

The last week has been a struggle for me I was meant to have a week off of work but we are short staffed so I ended up working 3 extra days and I have a hard time balancing diet and exercise with too much work. I did manage to be down .4 pounds so yay for that.

Lori.... I still have not organized my closets !!

My inlaws are coming to visit and spend the night on Saturday and I am busy cleaning, mopping and trying to stay ahead of the storm headed our way tonight ! I am so glad they are coming and excited !

I have to go to the groceries, run by the funeral home and do some cooking also. I am disappointed that they cancelled my weigh in due to weather so I have to wait another week ! I hope I can be good, sometimes that makes me eat more if I don't get to weigh !! OUCH ! I dont' want to wait another week to have a gain so I must be diligent another week ! fingers crossed...... xxxxxxxxxxxxx !

Hope everyone is safe and sound in these storms and has a great on program week !

I had difficult week as I was working 11 1/2 hour night shifts and although I ate within my calorie range I'm not going to win any awards for healthy choices..lol and working nights played havoc with my exercise too but I managed to lose 3.4 pounds in spite of poor choices I think it is the lack of loss last week when I did everything right...who knows what the body's gonna do but I blasted right through my 185 crossroad weight that has hung me up so many times before...thanks for that term Christine if fits perfectly and you'll blast yours too.

Good monday morning

I have had some nasal drip for weeks now, so I took a Zyrtec last night and I slept late today. they sometimes affect me like benadryl !
The weather here is gorgeous today so I am headed out for a walk in the sunshine today ... YEAH I am excited for it ! It s supposed to reach 77 today !! YUM ! the redbud trees are blooming the forsythia bushes are blooming, the tulips are blooming and soon the dogwood trees will open. I have to get my hummingbird feeder out and put up some food !

As for my goals.... I am going to leave those up for now and decide later. I hope to maybe reach my first goal this week !! only 4 weeks behind ??? ouch !!!
I am feeling back on track and have tried on some summer clothes and already some are too big and I didn't get to wear them much..... oh well I seriously got to do some closet organizing ! another day......... hehehee !

Hope caroline and Lori are doing well !

Hey Christine,
It's so frustrating when diet momentum gets lost, I struggled gaining and losing the same few pounds over and over again too, sounds like things are turning around for us both now emoticon I was a little disappointed with only losing .8 pounds but I knew I'd done everything on my end it was just a matter of time and chemistry and sure enough I was down 1/2 a pound the next day...I weigh every day.
What did you decide with your goals? I seldom put a time line on mine so I have no idea what I would do just so long as you don't make then even harder to reach I guess.
I hope you have a wonderful week and get even closer to your goals whatever you decide they are.
Cheers!

Hey Lori and others

thanks so much for the encouragement. I have now been on track for 3 days and I feel like my control is coming back. The warmer weather is headed this way and that will surely help with outside walking and motivation ! Its about time for spring this year...... LONG OVERDUE!
I went and weighed and got that over with so now on to getting it back off !! It had been 3 weeks and I gained 2.8 pounds so it could have been worse.

Lori how has it been since the husband returned and your back ?? I hope you are doing well also ! We can do this for summer.

My dilemna now is I did not reach my first goal for the year so do I move all the others too or wait to see if I can catch up or is that too much pressure ???? not sure on that one........

I hope everyone has a great on program weekend

caroline..... are you hanging in there ?

Christine, sorry you're having such a struggle, you'll get through it just keep going one meal at a time. My last week was a bit of a struggle too it's frustrating but as Nietzsche says "That which does not kill us makes us stronger" So that struggle your having is really just you getting stronger!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I was hesitant to try the shake for breakfast.
breakfast always has been my main meal. It started as a child when mama got me
off to school with food in me. When dh and I go out to eat, our fav. meal to eat out
is a breakfast. LOL.

The shake was tasty and stayed with me past the lunch hour. No snack. If I can get
it in my head that it is ok to drink a meal and it still stay with me and do me just as
good, then great, I can do this.

fixing chicken soup for couple ladies in our church that are sick with flu.
I will leave it on the door step.

Have a great day.

Skinnie, Christine, it is ok. You will get with it. Do not let guilt rob you of the wonderful
memories you received while down south. I am going after next week...to Walterboro, S.C.
to Savannah, actually Pooler, and to Jacksonville...actually Yulee.
I lost track early part of the week as the weather had me hurting so much I felt like just
giving up.
Today, I am back on track. Had my shake, and lunch is cooked and ready to eat.
My weigh in was cancelled also...it is Resurrection Sunday...and so a big holiday.
My weight has been in the black all month, but it was a pound down, then half a pound, then stayed the same, then a pound.
so all month 2.5 pounds. Hey, I should do that in a week!!
So we just keep agoing.

MRSVK11, Congrats on your loss!! That was awesome!

ok, beautiful sun shining morning, the weather changed, joints eased up, and I am ready
to tackle some chores that should have been done first part of week.

Let us all do best we can.

Caroline

Christine: It sounds hectic at your house! I know you can pull it all together and just get through it.

My first day back went well it was not as painful as I was anticipating.

I have had a great couple of weeks staying on my diet and exercise plan but...I haven't been working so can walk a lot and my hubby has been gone for two weeks which makes it very easy to stick to the diet. I'm back to work and hubby is back today so I'm hoping that the 8 pound loss of the last couple of weeks gives me the momentum to keep it up. I'm aiming for a pound a week.

Cheers!

Christine It sounds like you are having a great vacation, enjoying that baby and the warm temps I'm a little bit jealous it's been sunny here but still not all that warm.

Caroline way to get that workout in just getting started is the hardest part.

Today is my first full shift at work since I hurt my back so I'm hoping it goes well and that our new dog doesn't bark up the neighborhood while I'm gone. emoticon

Well, I just realized I was not a member of this team anymore!
It has been so long I guess I allowed myself to be dropped.

Hi Skinnie..Christine. How have you been doing?

I have been really busy spring cleaning and not much else. It is still too cold.
I will be dropping back by off and on.
Hope you all have a great day.

Christine,
I completely understand about the losing and gaining the same few pounds I seem to have been in the same holding pattern for way to long. I was looking for a little motivation to kick me in the butt and the BLC may have just done the trick I had a lovely 4 pound weight loss the two plus hours of walking every day sure couldn't have hurt either.
Hope your doing well with your limes too!

Way to go on "HILL" Christina you'll dashing up it without a break in no time. Spring has sprung here too and wonder of wonders it the snow has managed to melt without completely mucking up the dirt road I hike on emoticon
I've had a fantastic on plan week and am looking forward to my weigh in on Weds all that walking has to pay off right?

Lori, so glad you are on the mend and things are looking up !

Today was so warm that I could actually walk outside !! I felt my spirits lifting with every step ! the birds sang, the breeze blowed , it was FANTASTIC !
I actuallywalked up this monster hill that I have avoided for years. It felt good to tackle it. I had to stop once and my goal is to repeat it till I can do it without stopping !!

Loving this feeling and hope it continues !!

Hope everyone is having a great on program day !

Hi There,
I'm having a great day. My back is a little sore today but not too bad. I had a Physiotherapist appointment yesterday and she has asked me to walk for an hour 3x a day ...wow my fitness minutes will really start to rack up. My hubby has gone up north to work his first day is today so that stress has been settled I can deal with anything except not knowing what I'm going to have to deal with ...lol.
Icing on the cake it has been so warm the last of the snow is rapidly disappearing...bring on the warmth and sunshine.

Hi Christine,
Although I haven't had to much to say I have been lurking about...lol
I too seem to losing and gaining the same few pounds over and over again. My husband is going back to working in camp and as much as I like having him around and that he is super supportive I do much better when he is away at work. Hopefully my back will be well enough to get back to running soon too.
Cheers!

Well today is Friday and I managed to lose 1.5 pounds this week...... I am so happy to finally show a loss but I am wondering if I need to make changes because that is only a half pound loss in 3 weeks. I am just teetering back and forth with the same pounds ?? I must stay the course and I will but I go on vacation in two weeks and this worries me of course. It seems as though my body is rebelling somewhat.
I hope everryone is having a great on program week and doing alright !

Christine

hi Gwen and so glad to see someone else on here !! I tried the unjury powder and love it but the chocolate is a little too "malty" tasting to me.... there were two different ones..... the chocolate classic ( i bought this one) and the Chocolate Splendor. Which one do you have ?

My favorite shake right now is the vanilla one with frozen banana and 1/2 cup frozen blueberries..... I just love this combination !! YUM !!

Also I bought a michelina lean gourmet for 88 cents at Walmart and then found a coupon on lid for 1 dollar off 5 which make them 68 cents a piece....WOO HOO !! I love the Broccoli Cheese Chicken....tastes like chicken casserole !

Well I am trying to get my house organized and it is a big job.... warm weather come on !!!

hope you have a great on program day !

Hi Christine,

I visit here almost everyday and it does seem kind of quiet. I guess everyone is just doing their own thing and not coming to the board as much. That's one thing about the Simple Diet...it's simple!!! emoticon
I really like the program even though I have tried some other 'lose weight fast' programs in between. I always come back to the Simple Diet. I love Protein Shakes and have used them for a long time. You can private email me if you want to chat or post on here and I'll answer you.

Take Care,
Gwen
