Thank you MRSVK11! I am using the Jillian Michael's shakes for breakfast at present and they have about 5 or 7 carbs per serving but adding in the fruit gives it another 15 or more carbs. The frozen meals have a lot of carbs in them sometimes 3 or more servings so I try to get the lower carb ones, not many out there. I will check out the Premier Protein shakes if I can ever get to a Costco, the nearest one is 3 hours from me. Wish you all the luck in your journey as well! Thanks again and God bless.
Knottydoll, my advice is to stick with the plan. I've been following The Simple Diet for 42 weeks and have lost 87 pounds. In the beginning my weight loss averaged 4-6 pounds per week then tapered off to 1-2 per week. Some weeks I lost just over half a pound, but I have stuck with it and followed the plan without fail and am now 25 pounds away from my goal weight. Good luck to you and please don't feel discouraged.

Hey Debi, If you feel you are getting to many carbs maybe you could look into some different shakes I don't know what kind you are having, but premier protein high protein shake has 30 grams of portein and only 5grams of carbs it's ready to drink and available at Costco. there are also whey protein powders that are available all kinds of places that are high in protein and low in carbs. Maybe check your blood sugars periodically during the day to see if your on track. Sometimes a big change in diet will cause you to retain fluid and in a day or so you'll have a big drop. Good Luck!

I am on day 3 of The Simple Diet and I have gained 1.5 pounds. The only explanation I can come up with is there are too many carbs in the frozen entrees, with that the the 2 fruit servings I'm having a day have really run my carb count up. I am a diabetic so keeping carbs low is a must. Going to give it a full week and see what happens.
I am also getting some gastric distress from the shakes, too much milk I think, going to cut that out too.

Hi, I am a 44yr old mum and started the Simple Diet last week. I have lost 7 lbs so far and this week only lost 2lbs. Feeling down. Maybe being on here will give me a boost and help me realize that any loss is a good loss! Nice to "meet" everyone.
