No don't swap them but if you are still hungry you can have extra. I believe in the order of bar,shake, entree,but I may have read that on Dr A's facebook and not in the book. And of course the 5 fruit and veg are a minimum you can have as much of them as you like.

ok, my grand son went home to go back to school. I am free. I am stress free. My time
is my own. My ears are resting. I am letting out a breath.

I started the Simple diet today. I tried before, but stress does me in by the end of day.
I have my foods in the freezer ready to go. I have met some very nice people on this
team and I want to say I will try to be here for you as you have been so welcoming to me.
I have my Fit bit on and ready to go.

One question.
I know the books says two meals and 3 shakes a day. If the calories are the same can they
be switched? Like, if I do not go over the calories, can I swap a shake for another meal.
It is all a mental thing with me.

Ok, wish the best toward my way, and I will do the same with all of you

One vanilla shake
2 cups of chopped watermelon
one serving of crystal light lemonade powder
a couple of ice cubes (optional... I just freeze the watermelon)

I did find some great shake recipes and made the orange creamsicle one today !

thanks so much for the gelatin tip ! I will try that this afternoon. I have also created a sparkpage as per your request. I had trouble adding a photo....... will attempt later again!
Saw some great shake ideas and have some diet orange soda in freezor now for my noon shake..... the creamsicle one! sounds deelish !! Looking forward to getting to know more people on this journey !

Christine, so glad that you are doing so good on this plan.
Why not go ahead and create your Sparkpage so we can give you a goodie or encouragement
along and along.

Which meals do you find work best for you?
As far as shakes, I sometimes put raw gelatin in mine to help my joints. It is suppose to
put the good stuff back in there that they need. I buy it by the bulk on the internet, but
actually can just dump some uncooked jello right in your blender...or try Knox unflavored.

Keep us up on how you are doing, and know we are rooting for you.

Hi everyone
I'm in Ky and I too found the simple diet in the WW 's magazine and started the end of february ! I've been on sparkpeople the whole time but have a very hard time figuring
out this message board stuff !! I may never find you all again !
I've lost 35 pounds in 5 months and feel hopeful for the first time that I "might " actually
lose the 130 pounds that I need to lose !
I have bad knees and am walking 2 miles a day on 5 days a week! This is a great
accomplishment for me and I know I will need to add more
My name is christine and I'm 51 years old and my husband and I will celebrate 25 yrs of marriage in sept of 2013 .... so I've got an goal in sight !
please let me know what you are doing and some great shakes recipes !
