I'm sure your friend will understand that you're on a "restrictive" diet and you will need to prepare your entrees. So bring your entrees & shakes or buy them there. I'm sure she will be cooking, so eat the vegetables. If you eat out, check out the restaurant first or stick to grilled chicken/fish and vegetables with no added butter or sauces. Skip the bread!! You can make this work for you...

Hi all! I have recently decided to get back on "The Simple Diet." I am getting ready to go on a vacation for one week, and I will be staying with a friend and her family. Does anyone have any suggestions how to handle this? Should I buy some protein bars to take with me? I don't want to impose on my friend to do anything special for me. Any advice would be much appreciated!
