My name is Brianna. I'm a 25 year old bride to be.
My future family is actually part of why I'm doing this. I love them all dearly but they make me self conscious. I've always been larger and I have no silly ideas about being stick thin, my hips are to wide to be a stick. But it would be nice if I wasn't the one stuck in a tankini while my female in-laws to be are all sporting bikini's.

Hi everyone,
My goal is to lose 17 pounds before the summer, taking me from 137 down to 120. Even though 137 is a healthy weight I have a very small frame and any extra pounds are very noticeable. I don't feel comfortable or confident at my current weight and it gets me down. I always weighed a steady 120 until about 4 years ago when I gave up smoking and put on nearly a stone (replaced cigarettes for chocolate, oops), then got stuck into some really bad eating habits - mainly loads and loads of snacking, especially in the evening. Plus waaaaaaaay too much red wine.
I like exercise and go to the gym and hiking, but I also like sitting on my arse on the sofa. I'm hoping that tracking what I eat/do daily will help me to stick to my goals, and that support from people with the same goals will keep my motivation up. I want to replace my bad old habits with good new ones!
This has turned into a very long post...

Hi, my name is Jasminka and I'm new! I am excited for summer and I hope to lose my belly fat. My progress is going great! I'm seeing great results and I think I'm going to make a goal to lose my belly fat in 2 months. I think it's possible but I would have to wait and see :)

Hi.....my name is Tina. I live in Ypsilanti, MI. I used to be a gymnast and had a great body. Since I got married in 2003, I've been gradually putting on weight every year. I have put on almost 20 pounds since 2003. Now that I'm 40, it just seems so hard to lose weight, no matter what I try. I'd really like to be able to wear a bikini again. My husband would like for me to wear one now, but I just don't feel comfortable anymore. He is currently away in the National Guard and will be home sometime in August. I'd really love to surprise him with a more toned body in a bikini. :-) So I could use all the motivation I can get to get slim for this summer.

Hi! I'm Sarah. I've been on Spark since 2007 (when I was about 190 lbs.) I lost a lot of weight and maintained around 135 for a few years.

Right before Christmas my boyfriend of 8 years broke up with me. I had to quit my job and move back home. All of my stuff is still 4 hours away with the ex until I find a job so I can move out of the guest room in my parents' house. Needless to say this has been a stressful time and my healthy habits have taken a backseat. I've put on about 10 pounds and I'm the heaviest I've been since 2007.

I joined a gym and I'm tracking calories again. I'm shocked at how badly I've been eating. But I'd really like to reach my goal weight of 125.

My parents drive me nuts and it's hard for me to feel like being good to myself, so any extra motivation would be much appreciated!

Hi
I'm Sherri. I'm married, 46 and have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.
I started doing weight watchers online back in January, but have since stopped that and am now doing SP.
Since January, I've lost 27 lbs and went from a very tight 16 to a 12 and have lost 14 inches all over.

I wanted to join Spark People and this group because I have hit a plateau and I can't lose an ounce.
Plus, I'm going to Las Vegas at the end of August and I want to lose an additional 10-15 lbs by then.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Christina, I'm 24 and I've decided to become an active SP member after many, many, many months of being away. When I initially joined, I was a member of this community and found to be helpful, fun and just a tad bit sassy (which we all are, aren't we?) :)

I just started up on Jenny Craig again today after a 5-year "Why can't I just stay on track" stint. My first attempt at sticking to the JC program was positive and initially successful, unfortunately, I let work, vacations and life get in the way and just could inconvenience myself to schlep across the valley to get to the centre. Wow, were my priorities out of whack or what?

So, here I am feeling positive and motivated. I truly look forward to meeting you all and I'm definitely looking for a buddy.

Hi Everyone!!! I'm Jess and this team outlines my main goal! I just want a bikini body I can be proud of! I've only been a member to Spark People for a couple weeks now but I love being able to track my food. I'm not shooting for loosing a certain amount of weight, just to tone up, look good, and drop a few inches! I'm getting married next month (June 19th!) at the beach and possibly taking another mini beach vacation in July so any tips to help speed up my progress would be awesome! Hi! I'm Liz, and I'm a North Jersey Girl living and going to school right outside of Philly right now. I've been on Spark for almost a month, and while I really like the "tracking" aspect of the site, I have to admit I haven't seen much in the way of results. I'm just plain stuck at the 140 level, and I'm looking for new motivation to step up my workouts and get to the right weight for my body. I know I can do this if I just put enough time in to it. I dropped about almost 20 pounds between college and law school, so I know I *can* lose weight...it's just that *this* weight doesn't seem to want to go anywhere emoticon

I have been off track lately - My fater became ill, and passed away and now i realized over that time I gained the 10 pounds I lost back. Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa and I am determined to lose weight by the summer! I'll be 22 in June, I'm 5'9", I live in NY, and I'm really excited to get back to my ideal weight - 130 lbs. I was never really overweight, but after moving in with my boyfriend, having no money (therefore buying lots of cheap pastas for dinner), and not exercising, I've gained about 20 lbs. I've been a member also of this group for over a year. I'm back into the routine again. I lost 50 then gained back 15, I want to take off the 15 plus a little more. I felt great at 150 but would really like to be at 135, we'll see it gets harder to take the weight off when you don't have as much to lose at least that has been my experience. Good luck to all!

Hi, my name is Sara and I am 22 years old. At my highest weight I was 215lbs. I got tired of being uncomfortable in my clothes and my body. Slowly but surely I started to lose weight. I eventually got down to 135lbs. That was in 2007. Then last year my weight plateaued and even scarier I started gaining some of it back. Granted my lifestyle changed a bit, I transferred to a new college away from my friends and family where I also live in a dorm. It is difficult living in a dorm, not having control over what I eat or when I eat it and oftentimes it is easy to make excuses to not work out when I have tons of work to do. However, the idea of gaining any weight back, nevermind all of my weight back is terrifying. I remember what it was like all those summers when I refused to wear shorts or a bathing suit and deprived myself of some of my favorite activities just because of how I looked. That is not how I want this summer to be. So far I have been really inspired by sparkpeople, I feel like I am setting realistic goals and hope to see results. I would also love to find a sparkbuddy!

My name is Danyelle. I am not new to the web site but this time i have decided that I need to use the web site to it's fullest, but the problem with that is I cant find the motivation to get my butt off the couch or chair and get exercising. I was curently laid off from my job so I have all day to due school work( working on my degree) and house clean but I am tired by the time I am done with that. I want to loose 15 pounds and tone my tummy and inner thighs. I am a oicky eater and that makes it hard for me also. I love my chips and dips and cheese and crackers, I do not eat cake, cookies or anything like that but the chips and dips and cheese and crackers are really starting to add up on my tummy and thighs. any motivation I can get from anybody would be great.

Hey everyone, I'm not new to Spark, but this is my first time using the site to its fullest. I figure that having a healthy bikini body is a good motivation to become healthier (and slimmer, hopefully!) - I spent a lot of time wishing I could go to the beach last summer, but my body always held me back. This group seemed like it fit the bill really well. I want to be excited about going bathing suit shopping again.

Hey all! I'm so happy to be here in this very inspiring place, and I want to congratulate everyone on stepping toward their goals! As for me, I'm 19 and trying to get to a healthier place. For my height, my weight is just not proportionate. It's always been that way, all my life. Right now, I want to start feeling good inside and out, and hey, might as well look awesome while I'm at it! I've come a bit of a way so far since joining Spark, but I know I've got a lot of hard work ahead of me. I think this group will help me keep sight of my goals, or at least 1 of them!

Hey guys, I'm new to this team, from Lexington, KY. I've been on Spark for about 2 weeks now and its proving a valuable tool to keep me motivated. In total, I have about 25-30 pounds to lose before I will be to where I think I'll be able to walk out on a beach in a bikini without wondering who's staring at my butt-dimples. Here's hoping anyways. But my goal is to lose from 6-8 pounds a month, so I can still be there before this upcoming summer ends!

Hey everyone. I've had summer on the brain since December but keep hitting some road blocks, due to chronic pain, on my journey to feel good for summer. I don't have a pound goal because I've been avoiding the scale like the plague, but I think a pant size or two would put me into most of my fun warm weather clothes, and keep me from crying when I have to put on a swim suit. hello all! I just joined the team. My name is Jess and I have been with SP almost a month now and love it. Saw this team and thought i had to join. Hi everyone, my name is Beth and I am from Newfoundland, Canada. I'm 27 years old and am to the point now where I am still trying to lose weight. I have always wanted to lose that last 10 pounds, but over the past couple years, the last 10 has turned into the last 15-20! Exercise is my thing....so is eating, so I exercise my little heart out and then do the same thing with eating. Hoping this group has some great motivation to keep me on track!

Alright...so it's gonna be a long journey, I know that. But I wanna be able to take my daughter to the pool without having to find something that covers most or all of my body.

Girls, do you find that when you sit down on the beach after a nice swim that a sink hole develops under you - well I do. I don't want that this year. I want to sit on the beach with my 2 boys and play ball with them and build castles without worrying if my rear end is totally hanging out or my stomach is find it was out of the tankini. If I'm 165 by the time school is out 6/12 - I'll be a happy girl.

Hey, I just joined the group today and I just wanted to say hi and just write a few of my goals. Well the goal I have is to basically lose as much weight by June/july for summer and also I'm going on vacation in July and I haven't seen the people since last summer so I want to look and feel good. I also have tried to lose weight many times and after only a week I would see some results but I'd lose motivation and got impatient, so I decided to join a group so I can get and give motivation.
