Welcome, well you made the right decision in coming to SP! I also have had problems w/ the alcohol and the empty cals in that too., I consumed too much of it was my problem, I mean...a lot. Maybe I could talk to you about it privately. Feel free to come to me w/ any questions or for an extra push or motivation. I love this board and SP as well. Good luck w/ your upcoming physical, I'm sure it will be better now that you're making improvments like you are. Being Proactive is the way to go! :D

Hi Karen and welcome. I feel your pain. LOL. I find having wine makes me eat more, but still seem to drink wine. Having said that, I haven't had a wine in the last 2 nights and am proud of myself! I know it is a habit, which can be broken, but it is enjoyable! Good luck. and together.

Looks like a fun and inspirational team and the "hook" bringing me over was Push the Tush Blog! Thanks Sherylds! I'm an over 60, stay at home with hubby gal now. Left the workforce 5 yrs ago and glad I could do it then. I loved working for the Army but it was a much younger persons game when I said ENOUGH! In the last 2 yrs, I've stalled with weight loss efforts and let apathy get the better of me. I have a Who Cares attitude since I'm in the same size clothes forever now but I fell a lot more creaky and need to get back to improving health and fitness. My trigger temptations are linked to alchohol- wine- and I address that with another team. Of course, having wine then leads to the other overeating and packs on empty carories, for sure. I've been on SP for a few years and I think its Great!! I probably would be 15 pounds more by now if I'd hoped off Spark for any length of time. Dr. Appt in 3 weeks so working at SP mini goals to give myself a boost headed in to the mid-year physical. That's my short term incentive for returning now. Karen
