Sweets OH how I love Sweets. Now I am trying to change that to:

Veggies Oh how I love Veggies LOL, just does not have the same felling, but the veggies do FELL better than all the sweets.

I have to really cut out or at least way down on my sweets. I have been doing well with that over the last couple of year. I use to eat 2-3 candy bars a day--NOT GOOD on the waist. I still go to sweets when I am stressed. But one thing I have done is try to exercise now when I am stressed and I have bought sugar free puddings. I don't like sweeteners, but sometimes, to get you out of a pinch, they can work.

Keep up, giving up sweets!!

Ya, it is great to tell/talk to SP friends about all this stuff! I love SP!!

Hi & welcome! Sweets are my biggest downfall. But, I find that 1/2 the serving or just 1 serving can be worked into my mealplan. I think chocolate was the biggest thing for me. And I love the dark chocolate but have learned to limit myself. Its a gradual change!

You only had two, good for you. i survived yesterday without any sweets, I am armed with strawberries and an apple, that should help me to make it through the day, without straying. I love that we can talk and encpourage each other I need thatl.

It isn't easy...i just do what you did with the apple or suck on sugar free candy or gum. Dark chocolate is better for you than milk chocolate. After awhile the need for it diminishes and you won't miss it. Keep yourself busy and don't dwell on it. And remember that we're human and we slip...i remind myself I can have anything I want on Saturday or Sunday that that's usually enough...in the beginning i left messages to remind me what the day is. Let me know how it goes!! emoticon

That sounds good. I am fairly new as well. I am struggling with sweets. Today is my first day that I have not ate any Hersey Kisses at 3 PM. I ate an apple instead. I work at a college, at the College Union, with three dishes of candy in front of me, for the students.

My goal is that I have something good to eat like fruits or carrots or celery with peanut butter or hummus. Love to hear from you as to how you manage without sugar.

I'm just now starting with spark people. I need to supplement with my current diet called the S diet, which is no sugar, no sweets, and no seconds on days that don't start with an S. On the S days I eat what I want within reason. I don't have to feel bad if i succumb to a sweet, because it's something that's rewarding. emoticon
