I see your start on your ticker and I remember that was me in 1994. My ticker start is the beginning of when I said I've had enough and that was in 2003. So please don't get discouraged it will be a long process and it might be fast for a bit then real slow or real slow for the start and the speed up. The plateaus will come and go . Excerise was terrible for me it was a very long four letter word. Now I say to myself man I missed a day how could I have done that. So i get it when you think I can't do this, It's too much work, I can't keep track another day, i don't care what I look like people should like me for who I am-that is true- but do you like yourself. I never did and there are still days I don't - I still look in the mirror and see my other self and not the self I am today. when you go for new clothes and you will because you are striving for a healthier you and on those days you will get frustrated because -you are not going to be a size you are going to be a fit so don't look at the size look how it fits and wear it with pride. It took me years to figure that out and still today I wrestle with the numbers. One store has a size to fit the other store i need a bigger size but today I wear the fit. I hope this helps you because I'm the biggest cheerleader when it comes to how we portray our image. I co-workers that are heavier than you can imagine and i encourage them to walk every day with me and i admire how great they look everyday and some have told me that they feel better and before they knew it they lost some weight because they were encouraged without the pretense , it was pure honest words not just words they want to hear. They have helped me too because I'm encouraged that they have the strength to help themselves so in their own way without knowing it they are my heroes and my encouragement My first act of exercise was this - I went out and bought myself Leslie Samsone's 4 mile- walk away the pounds it took me a year to do the 4 miles. I never told anyone I was doing them I didn't want anyone to think they needed to remind me to do the workout. I then would go on Sparkpeople and do the 5-10 min coach Nichole work outs everyday when I was on the computer. I would write down what I ate and then log it into SP food tracker. I didn't get to do it everyday so I would be sure to log it in every week. Sorry to say I've stopped but I make sure I do log my daily walks.
