I know for ME, if I don't do it for myself, it does not usually work. And that goes for anything. I have to do things because it is best for me, now I am not saying that in a selfish way, but if it is not something that I truelly feel is good or for the best (in God's eyes) the results are not as good as they could be.
Now, as for me and losing weight, I am doing it slow but it is coming off. Right now I am still recovering from surgery, so I can't do much except walk. But that is fine for now, I am watching what I eat so that is good too. (I LOVE junk food!!)
When I think/pray about loosing weight and I am doing it for the correct reason, to get me healthy, then it works. But if I am doing it for the wrong reason, then I may loose, but it comes right back on.
So what I am saying is, you have to get your head on right and it can work. Now with saying that, my head is on right about 75% of the time. That is better than the 25% it use to be. I am getting there. And you can too!!!
When I am having a bad day, I just remember that God made me for a reason and that he has plans for me. That helps to get my head back on the correct track.

DIBRN5 ... I think it is awesome they have WW at your workplace ... I would think it would be nice to have the program itself and also support from coworkers on the same journey :) And by all means, do it for YOU, it won't work if you don't. Like Rhonda said, remember YOU are worth it :)

Same with me. I have also started and stopped. I am also doing WW because they are offering at my place of work. I am very glad. I need to be more accountable. I also need to kick this depressed mood and live for myself. I have been basing a lot of my feelings and moods on a significant person in my life. I need to do it for me!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the welcome back :) And I think that you are doing great with a 4 lb loss in less than a month ... especially if you don't have a lot to lose. Those last pounds are the hardest to come off. And actually, slow and steady is better because it's more likely to stay off :) Good luck and best wishes to you on your journey!

I have been a member of SP on multiple occasions before but have, for different reasons at different times, left the program. I have also been a paying member of Weight Watchers since March of 2012 and have lost 25 lbs there. But I have hit a wall, been stalled out since October, and my frustration levels were getting high. So instead of quitting, like I would usually do, I have decided to combine WW with SP, and also in solid footing with God, to form my perfect 'team'. So here I am back again! And I'm sure I will need lots of help and support and encouragement, and I have plenty to offer in return, so feel free to add me as a friend, and I will do likewise, and we can all do this together!
