Hey guys,
My name is Sherita and the reason I decided to engage myself on this fitness journey is because I saw a 40 year old woman die on the table way before her time. Never knew someone who I had never met would change my entire mindset. Coming from a family with a history of Diabetes, Stroke, and Hypertension it really opened my eyes. She was not in horrible health. Maybe, 30lbs overweight and died of a heart attack. No prior health issues. It was a wake up call. For me the excuses had to stop. Watching them cut her clothes off to do CPR, pumping the drugs down her IV to attempt to revive her, it took me to when my father passed. Which I feel is where my weight went beyond my control. So what I say to you is find your reason (or trigger as I like to call it) and remove the bullets. Fix it now before it is too late. Good Luck to each and everyone of you on your journey and may you discover you trigger and disarm the gun before you commit foodicide!

We can do this...

emoticon on your weight loss so far ... that is very impressive! And I'm sure you will continue to do well and will hit your goal weight before you know it :)
My main reason for losing the weight I have so far (25+ lbs) and to keep going is also to beat the diabetes beast. I have a LOT of relatives struggling with both diabetes and heart disease and I don't want to be the next one.
So here's to our health!

Hello My name is Loraine. I am a stay at home mom and have decided to enter this challenge because I have recently opened a new chapter in my life witch is health....i have to admit i have been over weight almost my entire life AM NOT A THIN PERSON!. I recently started my journey in April of 2012 when i almost ht 200lbs. I was always in the hospital with heart problems and breathing problems. After I made a decision to loose weight and eat right. I have lost 50lbs and counting. i haven't reached my goal yet and i know i will. this is all for my family. I am haunted by the thought of one day i might hear my doctor say i have diabetes. Everyone in my whole family suffers from this horrible disease. I have seen an uncle and an aunt die because they didn't take care of their health. So here i am making a stand to live a healthy life. I want to be fit. want to be able to run and jump with my two kids, they are my everything. Therefore I do this challenge for them.
