I just turn 60 the only regret I have is: not to start this program a long time ago.
You are in the right place to change your life to a healthy life style for your self and for your family, especially with young children. They will learn from you and it will be easier for them to follow. Be their roll model.
The only thing I recommend is to be patient with yourself and your body, take one little step every day that will improve your new life style, just keep moving forward, don't pay too much attention when the scale stop moving downward as fast as you want it to go, at those time look at yourself in the mirror, look at the garbage bag full of clothes that are too big for you and you need to drop at the Good Will, pay attention to the way you are feeling physical and emotional, focus your self on the positive aspect and don't concentrate your efforts on the negatives.
You will see progress and it will keep you motivated.
I started tracking my meals when I reached 213 lbs back in Sept last year never got motivated to start exercising until Jan 2012, (I thought I couldn't do it) but I have gone from not able to reach my feet to tight my shoes to training for a 5K run in Nov 17th. My weight loss has been some what slow in the eyes of others but I feel great and I'm able to do things that I was not able 3 years ago.
With this said if you need encouragement or any motivation call me.
Make a choice to talk more about your blessing than your problems...more good things will come your way when you do!
