we each know our limits: so we just need to push those a little at a time so we don't kill ourselves all at one time. I have trouble walking so I try to do more of it for me. I count my steps with one of the fitbits I love it. It tells me how little I do move around, as long as we keep moving we are burning calories and thats what its all about. burning more than we eat......Good luck with your journey

there are videos and exercises on this site for limited mobility, they are pretty good. I actually worked up a sweat doing the chair exercises.

Welcome HawaiiBound. I think Spark People is abou the best site you can come to. Everyone is so encouraging and you are as accountable as you want to be. I find it really helpful to used the Tracker to keep track of what your eating, your activities and pretty well anything else you want to be accountable for. If you use it for every single day, I think it really helps and you are definitely accountable to yourself. Also I signed up with Spark Coach where you receive suggestion for each day. Hope everything works out for you & that you have a great vacation!

What a great vacation to look forward too! I too understand, that my so called friends and family's are not a lot of help in my weight lost. I have always tried to lose weight for others, this time I am losing just for me! I want to be about to get around without feeling like I am dragging a ton of bricks. Just to feel light on my feet and feel good in what I wear. I look at my clothes and they look like tents. I would love to wear something that doesn't have a X in it. The food tracker is my best friend, it keeps me accountable.

I am trying to slim down for our summer vacation... I have been want to to slim down for a long time before that though...Every time I seem to try I feel lost due to lack of accountability...My boyfriend is no help on keeping me accountable because he will joke about trying to lose weight but he is not forcing me too, ( yes I am very VERY lucky he love me no matter what I weigh or look like, for that I am thankful) but in all honest I would love to look healthier for him.
I need tips for helping keeping me accountable and also tip for better ways to exercise with such a bad back....
