Hi. Welcome to the team. That amount of weight in such a short period of time is unsafe unless you are doing it under a Dr.'s supervision. It is suggested a healthy weight loss of 2 pounds a week is for people with a BMI over 30. Even at 2 pounds a week, that would not be 25 pounds by February 1.
It can be done, but weight taken off quickly is usually put right back on and then some within 6 months to a year. I have gone from 248 pounds to 135.5 and it has taken me since February 2011. That being said, the weight does come off quickly at first. I average about 1.36 pounds a week. That is with a couple gains in there, and 2 plateaus. I gave up soda completely, took me 4 weeks to do it and lost over 20 pounds just doing that.
