Welcome to the team. Keeping active and using the site, joining teams and being active on the forums are great for motivation, advice and encouragement! You can do this!

Margaret

Never give up, never quit, never surrender

You only fail when you stop trying

There is nothing to hold you back except you.

You can press forward long after you can’t. It’s a matter of wanting it bad enough.

The bad news is: we are our own worst enemies. The good news is: we are our own greatest champions.

Hi. Welcome to the team. emoticon The nutrition tracker is a valuable tool to use. The fitness tracker is too. Keeps you motivated. When you get up and go to your fitness tracker and ST is scheduled and your exercises are planned for you. Sort of pushes you.

I respond to all new members in my teams. It keeps me motivated because they are so motivated and their enthusiasm is contagious. I also respond to all newly created topics. When giving support and encouragement, the words I write are reinforced in my brain, therefore encouraging me also. I make as many friends as I can. You never can have too many friends. The last thing I do is go through the activity feed and make comments when necessary. It makes a member feel good when another member notices they lost a pound or spun a 10 or crossed 2000 fitness minutes. It takes 30 seconds to write way to go! and leaves an lasting imprint for someone.

I love SparkPeople

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

Hello all, I am attempting to get healthy as I age gracefully. I am great at starting things and QUITTING midway through. This time I have decided that I'm tired enough to be healthy. I went to the Dr. Dec 2011 and weighed in at 293. A total wake up call as I do not look as I weigh. At this time I weigh 261.6 but I need to reach at least 175 pounds (personal goal). In the past I have tried the pills and quick fixes. Now I am electing to eat healthier and exercise. I do have an un-diagnosed auto immune (chronic pain)and have lymph node issues. However, I know a healthier life style can also allow for my digestive system to change as well. I am welcoming any suggestions and I look forward to your support as I will support you all as well. My friends, family and co-workers call me a TOP CHEERLEADER! For I am an excellent motivator to others but not myself. SO I JOIN YOU ON THIS GET HEALTHY & REMAIN HEALTHY JOURNEY!
