I have always been a calorie counter, portion measurer as well. I am also feeling more confident about "easing up" a bit.
I think that for now I still have to be aware, but I am definitely feeling a little free-er (sp?) to enjoy eating again without being scared to not have measured and portioned. lol

After losing weight the 'traditional' way - counting calories and measuring portions - I have found that the weight creeps back on, unless I am totally diligent.

Reading 'Wheat Belly' has changed all that - I'm on Week 1 and have noticed my cravings have really dropped off and I can see there's a huge connection with eating wheat/high carbs and not being able to keep weight loss off(at least for me!)

It has been an eye-opener to eliminate wheat and other high-carbs, while at the same time eating alot of healthy oils, nuts, cheese, eggs etc - it's a bit scary to 'let-go' of the idea that the fats are not the issue!

I have not calorie counted at all, and have lost about 3 lbs, feel very light and have very even energy levels all day!! Amazing!
