hi....diagnosed last Oct..... still working out treatment....I like my Dr. but we have a language/culture gap.... I got real sick in Jan....my reg. Dr. gave me antibiotics....and when I saw the MG Dr. he got all upset....but he never told me I could not take them...??? nor did he give me any info...he just got upset with me then....he is supposed to be one of the best in the area...????
feeling better for the moment....but when I get tired the double vision and other stuff kicks back in....I am so used to being active and I can't seem to get it in my head that I cannot do what I used to do....
also the prednisone thing.....battling the weight gain with this is soooo hard...I was heavy to start with...and now....I feel like a bullfrog with the face puffy and all that...
ok...needed to just say all that.... my family is annoyed I am sick....because I don't look sick...well except when my face droops.... and my coworkers are all young and thin.....and they make comments on "how I should control my eating" often....they can live on 5 spoonfuls of food....they all look anorexic to me........so you are not a 'real person" if you are heavy??? counting down the retirement years...just 7 more to go...
I think I have been trying to lose in part for them to leave me alone..... but you know... I am sick of that... but I do want to feel better....I really do... and I have lost some... just sprained my ankle gardening a few days ago and I am really annoyed that I can't walk to lose...

Hello, my name is Kim and I am obese! I have been sick for 3 1/2 years and not able to do any kind of working out. I have lupus, fibro, myasthenia gravis and some other health issues. I recently had my thymus removed which they did by opening my chest like open heart surgery. This has made me feel better. I started working out in the pool yesterday. I was tired after 15 minutes but pushed myself to do 30 minutes. Today I returned and was able to do 38 minutes in my pool workout. Hoping to increase my time daily and or weekly. I am not setting any monthly or weekly goals of weight loss I am just going to try to do it one pound at a time and not get discouraged. I was diagnosed with the MG in Nov. 2012
