Injury impeded my progress... I'm ready to take my body, and my life BACK!
HI! I'm a 45 year old professional who has ALWAYS had weight issues. In February of 2011 I started a journey to lose weight, exercise and become a healthier person overall. I managed to lose 64 lbs, putting me within 40 lbs of my goal, and I was exercising for approx. 45 minutes day. Then, in September I had a serious motorcycle accident in which I broke my leg in 2 places, dislocated my knee very badly, and broke a couple ribs and a couple teeth. Needless to say over my 8 month recover I managed to put 34 lbs of the 64 I had lost, back on. I'm to a point now where I'm healthy enough to re-start my journey and although delayed, I am far from beaten... I NEED TO finish what I started. I look forward to the challenge and to meeting people on this site that are of like mind, as I can use all the help I can get!

Summer 5 percent challenge
This is my first challenge on this site so If I am successful, I commit to joining at least 3 other challenges.
I commit to losing 5 percent of my weight which is 11.9 lbs. I have recently lost 12 lbs in 8 weeks so I KNOW it can be done.
I commit to a MINIMUM of 10 minutes per day of exercise. I will try to do more than that.
I commit to be supportive of everyone on my team
I commit to rewarding myself, if successful, with a full blown mani pedi... the expensive one!
