ankle pain...I am not sure, it could be the shoes you are wearing, it could also be your ankles need to build up muscle and get used to walking or it may be something more severe. I would say don't push it. Try stretching, rotate your feet/ankles clockwise and then counter-clockwise before and after you get on and off the treadmill. Do it for 3-5 minutes and If it continues, go see your doctor.
